You'll have to look harder, if you now want to be in a position of casting stones at those with a lower limit than your state.

There are parts of Mexico, I believe, where that is the case. It is also true, in parts of Africa and the Middle East, but only if the man marries the girl, first. Have a blast!

I just looked at both articles, but the quotes attributed to Senora Montero, did not match the one shown & written about, in the other link. I certainly understand that people misrepresent these things-- I see it all the time, here. But as far as the it takes yes, for consent, law, that hardly cleans up the whole problem, if she was only saying a 13 year old has to say, "si," for it to be OK for a 25 year old, to plow her field, so to speak. At first, I also could not see, in what context she would have even said, "children have the right to have sex with whoever they want," in relation to the abortion law, but now that I read my words, written out, it does seem plausible that she had been arguing, kids should have access to abortion because kids get pregnant, and then turned to address the "solution," offered by some others-- Conservatives, of course, perhaps religious ones-- that the girls just need to "keep their legs shut." So Ms. Montero had only meant to say, that kids have the right to have sex with whatever other kids (in a similar age group) they want. Which is correct. But to say it, as she did, as a political person, seems like a real rookie mistake, on her part.

 

The vid was only 1 minute long, of course it was out of context which is why I shared "more to the story". Age of consent is 16 in Spain, she knows that, that's who she's talking about(and younger with sex education)

 

I still think it would have been smarter, on her part, to to have said "16 year olds..." instead of "children...

That is really irrelevant, to my post.

I had only guessed Hawaii, because at one time I had believed they were the only state with a 14 year old, age of consent. More recently, I heard there'd been another, which I think was Georgia, but I wasn't sure of that. Hence, I guessed the one, of which I was sure.

The point was, regardless of the Party in charge of your state-- and if it's Georgia, that may change in the not too distant future, I would assume you understand-- having recently upped your state's age from 14 to 16, puts you in no position to cast stones at others, as you did, by comparing those places to your own state (as you did), except for in those few exceptions, which I noted, for you.

 

To all the MAPs in here, don't worry! By the time the leftist take over is done, the age will be lowered to single digits. and they'll think its normal because all of the grooming and indoctrination happening in schools
