    Just wrote a post on this on a similar thread. These five were all hired in the last six years. What's happened to the good cops in the last six years or so? They were lumped in with the bad ones. What good guy would apply and put themselves through that kind of hell?
    The picken's are no doubt slim as a result. As you said, there are far less qualified people to fill the vacancies. Who the hell would take this thankless job? Nonetheless, the vacancies are filled, and as a result society reaps what they sow.

    Speaking of guns-- On Twitter and posted not to long ago. Not sure if anyone mentioned this yet but Jonathan Turley says the defense will say Nichols tried to grab an officer's gun.

    Many left I would expect and I don't blame them. Plus the media is trash and loves controversy because it sparks viewership and ad revenue so they only highlight the bad cops that do bad things. You almost never hear of a major news story about a cop doing something positive that stays in the news for longer than 30 seconds on the closing section of the show. I'm not one who just blindly supports the police and I believe there are plenty of areas in America that need a healthy dose of police reform. But I'm also one who judges people as individuals and not part of a collective who recognizes that there are trash individuals in every profession on the planet, the police are no exception. I personally could never be a cop ever before all of this nonsense went on and I damn sure would never be one now. But I do hold a healthy respect for the police because I understand that the majority of society actually doesn't understand what cops go through and the majority of the time the person in question was actually in the wrong when the cops did "something" to make the headlines. Usually, not always.

    As I already stated I have nothing but disdain for the 5 cops involved in this incident as individual people but I hold no ill will towards "police" as a whole. I could never be one and I'll continue to say that. I actually have even more respect for those good cops who are still left who continue to serve with dignity while viewed as trash by a huge chunk of the country for doing nothing other than wearing the uniform. I couldn't do it. As someone who also serves the country and wears a uniform I'm telling you right now if this country treated me the way we treat cops due to the actions of a few bad apples I would resign tomorrow and tell this whole country to kiss my ass.

    Why don't you advocate for the Slave Patrollers to be required to follow the constitution when interacting with people? This is not 1823 when Blacks had no human and civil rights. It is irrelevant if the Slave Patrollers are Black, White, or foreigners. They are all governed by the constitution and can't legally engage in cruel and unusual punishment or deprive people of their lives.

    Which is unfortunately why I would never be a cop. I feel like I am a reasonable man and I go out of my way to treat every person with respect regardless of race or gender or anything else. I absolutely refuse to be treated poorly by society due to the actions of others. We in America thankfully hold my profession in very high regard even today to the point where I still get random folks buying my drinks at the bar or shaking my hand when I walk through the store in uniform on my way home. My profession has it's fair share of trash human beings too but we don't paint us all with a broad brush the way society tends to do the police. If we did I wouldn't do this anymore.

    And I mean that sincerely, I don't want the open praise I actually hate that as a relatively shy person in real life who would rather just be ignored like everyone else when I happen to stop by the grocery store on my way home from work in uniform. But I wouldn't tolerate society openly ******** on me the way it's now become acceptable to do to cops. If society treated me like this or I constantly saw stuff like "ACAB All Cops are bastards" directed at me I'd resign tomorrow and tell this entire country to kiss my ass and hope China conquers the planet and oppressed you all. The good cops left are way better men and women than I am, I wouldn't take this crap.

    Such situations like this happen because of lack of leadership by politicians and the chiefs of police. They need to hold meetings with the Slave Patrollers and make it absolutely clear that if they engage in any criminal activity against anyone that they will be charged with the crime, fired, and prosecuted and barred from being hired anywhere in America as a cop. And that they will be personally liable for 10% of any financial settlement with the survivor's estate which could include any future pension benefits.

    Imagine hearing it in real life....I've had family members of mine openly call me a white supremacist to my face and it legitimately left me sitting there dumbfounded.

    It's one of those situations where someone says something to you thats so ridiculously absurdly stupid that it makes YOU think you're crazy and you sit there for a minute thinking about how that could possibly make sense and you not understanding it.

    It's pretty much like you owning a red truck for the past 10 years then a good friend of yours walks up sand says they like your blue truck. And is consistent with it and keeps saying it's a nice blue color. Eventually you wait for them to laugh and it genuinely makes you think to yourself ok am I losing my mind is he joking with me or is my truck actually blue and not red and I'm going crazy.
