Do you honestly think this is a “democrat” thing when Democrats are busy wiping out these archaic laws that allow child marriages?

A lot of these 20 year olds in that culture have the mental capacity of a 15 year old.

 

Why should they be wiped out? As long as all the parents agree, the girl agrees, a child services agent is sent out to make sure there's no coercion, and a judge signs off on it, I don't see the big problem.

But like you stated, I do think there should be some age restrictions though. Maybe create a table of allowable ages, with 1 or 2 year flexibility allowed for "exceptional" situations.

I don't believe a 20 year old can always decide whether to abort.

But certainly any girl can decide not to abort.

I believe aborting a baby is a more serious thing than creating a baby, so the age difference should be higher.

That being said, I don't think 12 year old girls should be going around having sex outside marriage. (Or even entering a marriage with the purpose of having sex for the first time)

I don't know about the South having more child marriages. California and Nevada have a fairly high number of child marriages. Some southern states have less child marriages than states in the north.
I know that doesn't fit your narrative though of the dumb hicks down south.

 

You must have missed the post about schools in California normalizing pedophilia by saying that it is a sexual preference.

Not importing more toxic culture is one way we reduce the rates of child marriage in America.

Condemnation is of no consequence. Another word for virtue signalling- which accomplishes nothing.

Screening our immigration for toxic cultures like child marriage will have an actual effect- less children forced into marriage than there would be otherwise.
