Is 13 weeks too late to get abortion, when there's nothing seriously medically wrong?

Focusing just on the perspective of the life that is never going to be, I guess any time is too late.

They, in that TikTok, aren't getting an abortion so it's still cute instead of horrifying but good point. Hate to see a living unborn person kicking around in there knowing they might get torn from limb to limb and suctioned out.

 

Adult women make up half the voter population and are more than capable in defending themselves. I makes more sense to spend more time and concern with the large population of individuals who can neither defend themselves via vote word or by ability aka not adult.

 

I like the idea of that, including after the birth of the child. At that point infants and children seem to have the historic tendency to be forgotten by the Right...

All the people I know, including myself, that have adopted are republican/conservative so I am not seeing that claim taking root in my experience and I live in a predominantly liberal/progressive area.

 

Movement in video does not prove consciousness. Movements do occur before consciousness. Video does not give useful information for the ethics of abortion.

 

It's totally true. We're getting off-topic but I've seen statistics from the 1990s that showed something like 70% of families who adopt are conservative Christians. A surprisingly disproportionately high number are Jewish as well, like around 9%.

Increasingly it is medication given before 12 weeks gestation which would be a 10 week old foetus

The fetus is too old for that. And it's more than just a fetus at this point.

 

Sometimes my brain just switches off and I make mistakes. What I was actually asking for was statistics pertaining to voting demographic and adoption.

I think that videos like this can convince someone to carry full term. I am on board with convincing people. I am strongly opposed to using government force.

I didn't watch, but I remember ultrasound images of my kids. There is a group that provides free ultrasounds to expecting mothers considering abortion. After hearing the heartbeat, many decide to keep the baby.

I have no issue with convincing people; I cannot accept forcing people. If you don't want an abortion, don't get one. Same with guns and Covid Vax.

considering they were forced to watch the ultrasound. Including those women having an abortion for devastating foetal abnormality were forced to go through the trauma a second time. What happened to a “right to refuse” under those laws
