Actually, this is not surprising: http://govpro.com/content/gov_imp_31439/ Thank the liberals for Detroit's destruction. BTW - you won't find mass shootings in conservative Provo...and I bet there are MORE legal gun owners there.
No, nor that American game which requires players to dress in space suits for the sake of their health, or baseball where spectators are prepared to die in an attempt to catch a ball so they can sell it.
i've been assaulted once-in Windsor. not that assault accurately describes a frog bleeding on me after he threw a bier bottle at me while his girl was talking to me, but it's as close as it gets. i think some guy tried to rob me once too...at a truck stop in Queerbec. some joker jumped on me off a catwalk (that space between the truck and trailer) as i was cutting thru parked trucks to use the restroom. the squirrelly lil (*)(*)(*)(*)er bounced off me then off a drive tire. i kicked him a couple of times to get him to stop wailing. i haven't been in Canada since 9-11, and i won't be back until you get your criminals under control. it's just not worth it.
That too! With $20.00, a 10 minute trip to Home Depot, and a 12 guage shotgun shell... in less than an hour, I can construct a crude, but fully operational weapon. If "taking guns away" were even possible...erasing them completely from society....it would only result in gunsmiths plying their trade underground.
So now the 1st and 2nd amendment is under attack...any others that your envious self would like to bring up??? They must have denied your visa to come here.
How can this be possible? According to a survey I saw 38% of Michigan residents owned firearms. If it's true that firearms prevent crime (and it must be true, I read it on this forum) then Detroit shouldn't have so much as jaywalking infractions.
BS, urban decay has been around for much longer that Globalization. Globalization has certainly impeded the ability of the US economy to outpace the ponzi scheme debt of the welfare state. _
Of course criminals have guns and they use them. I don't see too often that an armed person has taken care of a situation and saved lives. But I'm forever being told that if a gun was carried and a crime committed, the lawful carrier would take out the perp. It hardly ever happens. It's only in a licensed gun carriers dream world.
So I now need a visa to travel to the US. Was that law passed yesterday? Where do I need to apply? Hell, you don't even know the rules in your own country, sweetie!
I've always wondered how our leftist friends believe this thought process would play out in the mind of the average violent criminal: "Well, I was going to shoot up this restaurant and rob everyone in it, but seeing as how I'm not supposed to have this gun in the first place, I guess I'll just go home and play Scrabble instead. I have absolutely no respect for existing laws against murder, theft, rape, or drug possession, but I wouldn't want to run afoul of any gun control measures. That would just be CRAZY, don't ya know." Wally
you are aware that while it is Michigan's largest city, it's only a fraction of the population? if it wasn't for the inner-city regions of Detroit, Flint, Saginaw, Jackson, Benton Harbor and Lansing (guess what they have in common?), there would be next to no violent crime in the state.
Simple there was an entire couple generations of Europeans that lived during a time when the continent was awash with guns... most western European countries banned or severely limited guns, Europe today has very VERY little gun violence compared to America. Crime wont go away youre right, but gun violence can be minimized through legislation.
