Good draw and on target in about 1.5 seconds. Kareem was still on his feet for more than 10 seconds after the first shot though. Small semi-auto, maybe a 22 but I figure a 380. I wonder what Kareem was thinking when he stuck his own weapon in his pants. Typical inner city tactics. Get up close and empty the weapon then run like hell. Money says 3 hits out of 7 to 8 fired. The other kid's got some talent. Definitely had a bit of practice. Good choice of weapon, small and not noticeable. Money says Kareem thought he "had it under control" and figured the other guy was unarmed. Hey Kareem his hands are in his pockets for a reason you nitwit. Tactically he was OK with the semi-auto. With a snub he would have been better off, contact under the diaphragm. However I can't fault the shooter. He put enough distance between himself and Kareem before putting his lights out and made the first shot count. Solid B+ to A- performance for the Hood.

I reread this story and noticed that the jogger "did not" have a license to carry. I'm amazed that he isn't being charged with carrying illegally. I understand that he should be no billed for the shooting because he only acted in self defense, but I figured he should be charged with the illegal carrying. Maybe there is a loophole in the law that dismisses the charge after a justified shooting.

If I were this jogger, I'd be getting my LTC as soon as this mess clears up. I doubt they would let his illegal possession slide twice, even in Texas.

Not that private. Got some background on the shooter. He is 20 with a pending trial for armed robbery and carrying a weapon in a school zone. Kareem was stupid fooling around and trash talking to this kid. The minute he showed his weapon and then stuck it back in his shorts, the shooter intended to smoke Kareem.
