False, 49.4% of suicides where completed without using a firearm, the most common method other than a firearm is suffocation. In 2018 out of the 260 suicides in Broward County 26 of them where completed by people simply stepping in front of a train. Elimination of the private ownership of firearms will have a nearly zero impact of lowering suicides while at the same time increasing the death rate of innocent people due to their inability to defend themselves. As such, doing so will actually increase deaths of those who wish to live, and that is a really sick plan.

Of course. People use a gun because they are committed to ending their lives. Because they are committed, taking away the gun does not in any way mean they will not end their lives. Thus, this entire complaint is aimed not at reducing suicide, but making it harder for the law abiding to exercise their right to keep and bear arms.
