There you have it, democrats coming after small businesses and the middle class. Democrats are doing all they can to continue to wreck the economy.

We have had massive inflation under the democrats. Of course they claimed it was "transitory" but turns out it isn't. I wonder what phony baloney claims they will make to try and cover for this debacle?

Some insist that taxation should be lax, and accommodate unAmerican elements who refuse to pay their legal obligation.

    Others do not.

But he said they’re only going after rich people? Cmon man!! Only the rich people. We’ve already done the math and going after ONLY rich people won’t make a dent. We all know this. But Democrats keep pushing the same LIES!!

Dems do not want a flat tax because it removes the loop holes for their wealthy overlords.

...Can you point to where the Joint committee on Taxation made that claim. I can't find it on their website.
    Thanks.

So you can't back up the claim made in the OP story. Is that why you have to now do the deflection instead of addressing the basis of your OP?

    Here's what it said.
    ...
A key provision in the Inflation Reduction Act — which throws an extra $80 billion to the IRS to improve the agency’s collection of under-reported income — will end up targeting small business owners to pay for the legislation, according to nonpartisan watchdog the Joint Committee on Taxation.
    ...

    From your linked article.

I dont understand, are you for law enforcement or not?
Small business should be exempt from taxes?

Wrong. Irrational fear is when someone says global warming is going to kill us all in 12 years.

Folks, like all of us, if the government wants to spend money it doesn't have then it should cut expenses somewhere else. Remember when Obama told us to cut back on our cell phone bills if we couldn't afford his affordable health insurance? I do.

Here is a heavy list of all the federal government agencies that could probably benefit to lose a few pounds. We have nearly 3 million federal government employees.

Who said they should be exempt? How about taxing drug dealers and criminals?

Hey, look at this, how many drug dealers do you think will get audited compared to legit small businesses?

    Ok....
Sounds like a good reason to round up thieves too. They thought they got away with it, but those extra agents are prolly watching youtube and social media videos as well.

Look at California's smog levels 40 years ago compared to now.

The curious part of the additional agents is that they must carry firearms and be willing "to use deadly force".

If you've ever had a gun pointed at your face, you'd know how intimidating it can be. You'd probably drop to the ground and kiss the feet of the person pointing it at you. Even if they are just resting their hands on their weapon can have an intimidating effect.

True, but that's not the only reason we will never see a flat tax, or the Fairtax. The IRS is the most effective tool the feds have to "reach out and touch" individual citizens, and it allows them to do so without any of that pesky probable cause or warrants. They will not give up that power willingly.

They cut down on the pollution because:

    1. California polluted a lot
    2. To cut down on respiratory diseases

It had nothing to do with global warming, and if anyone claims it did, how much did temps drop?

    "Does global warming affect temperature?
Since the pre-industrial period, human activities are estimated to have increased Earth's global average temperature by about 1 degree Celsius (1.8 degrees Fahrenheit), a number that is currently increasing by more than 0.2 degrees Celsius (0.36 degrees Fahrenheit) per decade."

That's a question you are going to have to ask your great grand kids.
