The bottom line is...American society is based on violence, violence and more violence....

 

The kid has shown some real aptitude with a gun so he has several career paths he can take.

1. Become a sniper with the US military.
2. Become a sniper with a police agency.
3. Become a hit man for a drug cartel.

 

Or maybe slaughter a few kids in a school somewhere....

Violence is hardly uniquely American, it seems to happen wherever there are people...

 

Yes, but when you have a multitude of cultures and races all living together, jammed in like sardines, and a percentage of them becoming gang bangers because they suffer from learned helplessness, people become so frustrated it creates an aggressive nature among mankind to the extent that everyone turns to the gun for a form of
protection, hence a lack of a uniform gun "caution" throughout the nation...
It seems obvious to me that USA has an acute racism problem, but that has existed since time began...look at the history books...multiculturalism never worked...add a hatred between blacks and whites, a few million guns, incompetent parenting, a love of violence and you have a trainwreck of a nation.....

 

I'd strongly disagree with such an assessment. Sure the US has some gun crime, and its HIGHLY publicized across the globe, but its really nothing in comparison to Europe, where every few decades or so they have a bloodbath that is so catastrophic they become almost pacifist until the next one crops and and they slaughter one another like there is no tomorrow. Simply put the US has a measured course of violence, others take it in leaps and bounds...

 

Its always hard to convince an American that something is wrong with America...

 

Americans know what's wrong with America, we just don't appreciate the interference from foreigners...

I'm not either..... I'm tired of reading the "when I was a young lad, I played violent video games all the time and I grew up to be a hunky-dory kid. I didn't kill anyone......"

So many kids now live in violent, dysfunctional homes.... way to many w/o a father, no stability, nurturing......

But some thinks that young kids can play violent video games of killing, slaughtering, torturing (whatever the creator of game could think of) which eventually becomes an addiction. Given these circumstances, violence becomes a way of life for them b/c that's all they know.

Children live what they learn.......

If there is an adult in the home, doing their (*)(*)(*)(*)ing job, then the kids will be fine, and for the most part, probably won't play these games anyway...

I mean, where does your approval of censorship end?

Parents ALLOW their children to learn these type games. My 8 year old has no idea what these games are like to play and she won't for many more years. Why? Because I'm her parent, not her friend.

 

Yeah, but that phrase simply is meant to say that you are their parent before you are their friend...
