    So now a young black man can't even job while black.

    This is a prime case of Good Ole Boys covering for one of their own.

    There is no racism in the South anymore, is there.

    I cannot believe that the “Citizens Arrest” law in Georgia would allow citizens to become vigilantes, which is what this incident seems to be, unless there are other details yet to be known

    If thats all there is to it, the McMichaels should rot in jail.

    You're right I bet it will also. How do you see someone jogging down the street, grab your gun, jump in your truck and go after them. Why didn't they just call the police.

    Think about that for a moment.

    Also, Arbery seemed to have a criminal past.

    But to suspect racial profiling, then:

    A. What is the profile of a black person?

    B. Isn't it racist to suggest/accuse white people of something just because they're white?

    C. I'll bet the real criminal is laughing all the way to his next crime.

    How did they know what kind of past he had? Did he google it while he was chasing him down with a gun. Do you think he would have reacted the same way if a white dude jogged by?

    So here is some info on the victim:

    "Arbery had some run-ins with police in the past, included being "sentenced to five years' probation as a first offender on charges of carrying a weapon on campus and several counts of obstructing a law enforcement officer," the AJC reported. Arbery was also charged for shoplifting and violating his probation in 2018, according to the AJC."

    The killer was a retired cop.

    Keep this in mind when supporting more government power and more gun laws. Retired cops are exempt from the same gun laws that turn good people into criminals.

    You left out he had been seen on private property as was called into 911 and it wasn't the first time he been seen multiple times on surveillance videos at night and that the shots were fired when there was a struggle for the gun.

    Why have you left all that out?

    I have never killed a black man. I’ve killed a whole pile of Iraqis during desert storm but that is a different story.
    My point is if you want to be respected, you must first act respectable.

    Isn't it true that more blacks kill whites than whites kill blacks? Why don't you ever post about those? Do you automatically also assume racism, without any evidence, when a black kills a white?

    I hate this (some here will know why), but there is painful truth to it. If the fellow had been an equally 'black' Indian, this likely wouldn't have happened. It's rarely about colour.
