I don't know if I'm breaking the rules of this forum. But I just want to create a permanent office where Russian citizens can express their point of view (of any political spectrum). I hope this will be perceived not as propaganda, but as a free platform for expressing your vision of events.

I believe that there was no reason for the war at all! In 1991, we all renounced communism. There was no reason for the war. After the fall of communism, we in Russia live the same way according to global laws, we do not have any idiotic aspirations as we are presented in Hollywood. No one is sent to the Gulag. Putin is not a dictator, of course he has been president for more than 20 years, but in Germany, for example, Merkel was 16 years old and no one presented her. And in South Korea, there was even more of a dictator and they also believed that he was a completely democratic ruler. And no one made any claims against them, and no sanctions were announced. Why is this so?
When I was in college, I briefly studied Forestry before I switched my focus. I recall one of my professors talking about if Russia modernized its timber industry to a similar extent that the US has done with our timber industry, Russia could provide all the worlds timber needs, never run out of Timber, and sustain its economy purely on Timber exports. This all due to how vast and forested Siberia is. I assume this would include a reforestation program for timbered lands. Yet Russia is today (and was even before sanctions) only around 6th in the worlds Timber exporting nations, behind other nations that have far less trees, like Sweden, Finland and Germany. I often wonder- why?
