Something to consider very strongly in Nov. 2016 is, voting for a Democratic candidate will put that person in a position to possibly appoint as many as 4 new judges to the SCOTHUS during their term in office ,especially if they're elected for a second term. I can't for see all the ramifications a Liberal majority Supreme Court would have on our Society , but I'm sure of at least two. For one , Any issues regarding Gun Control Laws would most assuredly go against Gun Rights & Gun Ownership Advocates. The 2nd Amendment could even be in dire jeopardy. The second issue is that of rulings dealing with the HOMOsexual Agenda in this country. Representing only 2-5 % of the population they are wielding a large disproportionate hammer at the present time trying to exert their aberrant lifestyle into mainstream of American society trying to make it look like a normal alternative lifestyle choice which it isn't ,it's abnormal. The election of Democratic President could have very dire detrimental Affects on American Society and our way of life FOREVER ! Your thoughts ?

A liberal Supreme Court would be a VERY good thing.

Nearly every freedom you take for granted owes itself to the vigorous defense that liberals make of them.

So trying to limit gun ownership rights is a good thing in your estimation. Crime in China is much lower here than it is in China ,of course their population is totally disarmed ,you can be put to death for having a Gun. If the U.S. was totally disarmed do you think Our Government would treat us any differently.
We already have the NDAA (the NATIONAL DEFENSE AND AUTHORIZATION ACT) that gives the Government the POWER TO ARREST AND DETAIN AMERICAN CITIZENS WITHOUT DUE PROCESS and the Patriot Act Is even Worse. Are these the type of freedoms your talking about. How much worse would it be if the LiberalS succeed in their attempts to disarm us and make no mistake about it , THAT IS THEIR GOAL! We are about the only country on the planet that still has an ARMED CITIZENRY and "THAT'S" why we still have the freedoms we do have !!

If you want to know what a liberal Court would do then simply go back and look at how they voted on recent past issues.

Gun control for example would see states that have the ability to ban any and all guns they want if the liberals were in control, it is how they voted in 2010 in the District of Columbia case where they wanted to ban handguns. The liberals were all for it.

The death penalty would be gone.

Schools could make assignments for students based on race.

Partial-birth abortions would now be legal

Women who felt they were being underpaid would have no time limit on which to file a claim. They could go back 20 years or so if they wanted and start hurling lawsuits at former employers.

Schools would not be able to punish students who openly advocate for illegal drug use on school property.

Lethal injections would be ruled cruel and unusual punishment.

Having to show any form of ID when voting would be ruled unconstitutional.

Employers would no longer be restricted in using race in their hiring process. New Haven had thrown out a number of tests by minorities who had performed badly on certain job applications and this was ruled unconstitutional but the liberals said it was ok to do.

Any prisoner would be able to request DNA testing for any crime they are charged with.

Humanitarian groups would be able to advice terrorist organizations on both legal and illegal activities in the US.

There are so many more but I think you can see the direction a liberal Court would take us. The above are all cases that were decided by the Roberts Court by the way.

Liberal vs conservative is a very destructive little game.

I submit for your consideration that it doesn't matter which "party" seems to dominate the Court's thinking at any given moment.

What matter is, the Supreme Morons are telling me that money is speech, and they're telling me that buildings are people, and that the Constitution permits them to take my land and sell it off to shopping mall developers.

Check the record. It does not matter which "side of the aisle" these asinine ideas emanate from, the truth is that both sides are equally moronic!

Look here: if you want to save this country, stop playing the idiotic partisan game, and start thinking about how you're going to undo the corruption foisted on it by decades of incredibly stupid Supreme Court justices.

I don't give a rat's ass if a justice is liberal or conservative, what I care about is that (s)he understands the job description perfectly (and (s)he can read and speak English, which is a prerequisite for the former).

Are you kidding, listen to the hemming and hawing coming out of these fools on the gay marriage issue. "Is it time yet? Do you think the country's really ready for it? Maybe we should wait and see..." These idiots are beyond stupid, they seem to think their job is to make the law conform to their social perceptions.

******it, this political system is not about shaping your social perceptions. The job of the Justices is to read some words written on a piece of paper, and interpret them and make decisions based on them. No one cares what these idiots think about the social state of America, that is the last thing in the world our robed nincompoops should be making decisions on.

And yet they get away with this stupidity, because the voters are sold on partisanship. They're sold on outcomes and not process. No one has faith in the system to begin with, otherwise they'd have faith that the prescribed processes would work, all the time 100% of the time. But these days impatience trumps any value placed upon the rule book. The very first guy up to the plate is going to wipe out the chalk lines in the back of the batter's box.

And every last bank and insurance company has an anti-trust exemption. We have some serious work to do if we're going to fix this country, and at this point the Supreme Idiots are only standing in the way.

Personally I would rather see a Supreme Court without any political leanings whatsoever Conservative or Liberal. But, failing that, I would rather see a balanced SCOTUS myself.

Those are all your opinions, not facts.

Citizens United has had absolutely no impact on elections so unless you are worried about corporations or wealthy individuals throwing their money down the toilet than why make it an issue?

Are you on the side of the millionaires, are you trying to protect their wealth?
