That doesn’t even make sense. It’s the mostly use calendar in the world is it not? What does the catholic religion have to do with it? How is the use of the calendar obscuring things? And why the effity eff does it even matter? Explain your bot-like question. I think with the world-wide web it’s moot.

Why does anybody need the pope? What does the pope actually have to do with this calendar these days?

There already is one, the current Gregorian Calendar is the standard for most of the world.

In almost 6 decades, the only other one I ever used was a modified Julian Date, also known as the Ordinal Date. That was only for things dealing with the maintenance or supply cycle in the military, and such dates are literally a one digit for the year, then the three digits for the day number of the year. So today (13 October) would be written 3286. And for that it was much easier, as it was much easier to know the exact number of days something had been in the maintenance system, awaiting parts, etc. But that was the only time I ever used a "calendar" not the standard Gregorian one.

If nothing else, I would concentrate on trying to get people to write the dates the same way. 10/13/23 or 13/10/23 can be really confusing.

Of course, I also avoid that with another thing I picked up in the military. Date Month Year, so today is 13 Oct 23.

In a few million years we will need a new one because there will be 25 hours in the day. Until then, I am happy with the one we have

10 days to a week, 10 weeks to a month, 10 months to a year, 10 seconds to a minute, 10 minutes to an hour, 10 hours to a day.

    What could go wrong, lol.

The bigger problem will be changing the cultures of the world.

How do you explain to 8T humans why their current calendar is too bogus for them to use?

This is a religious issue, guiding celebrations, etc. How is Easter calculated? Ramadan is based on their lunar calendar, so the date is not the same each year. Etc., etc.
