Unfortunately, the reality of life is that trying to be above the playing field chosen by those in power rarely ends up with a victory and a victory is what is needed. Establishing classy and respectful behavior is not going to lead anywhere these days as that is "old stuff" that is no longer given importance to anyone but us old people.

I hear what you're saying but there is still a place for decorum. Embracing the chaos and boorishness of Trumpery means going down a rabbit hole from which there is no return.

 

I fully understand what is right and the path that should be followed. Nonetheless, morals, ethics, principles and humanity is now so unimportant to the majority that sticking to them means a loss will occur. Losing has never before been all that important as the winners usually had some morals, ethics, principles and humanity so the loss was not all the meaningful.

Unfortunately, losing these day means that the extreme-bad side wins and that means a lot of unrepairable damage occurs and that is just not an option.

It is sad, it is depressing and it does mean that overall our country is less than what it was before and heading lower. Nonetheless, it is what it is and one needs to adapt or be swept away.

The other problem is that the Democrats have rarely been fighters and the Republicans are experienced fighters and that means that the good side is starting with a handicap that is hard to overcome.

You and I live in the same world. The difference is the interpretation of "success " and "facts". I would also add that there is a degree of maturity that is missing from some.
