Libera Party leader Tony Abbott says Labor's 2030 renewable energy target will cost around $60 billion, going by the figures he has thought up.

"Then you've got this massive and unnecessary commitment to renewables which will cause a massive overbuild of wind farms", if the Liberals hadnt allready stepped in and stopped them from being built.

The Liberal Party needs to back its claim that renewables cutting coal filth in half will cost $4Billion per year each year now to 2030, or is the Liberal party costing $60 Billion for 2030 alone?

Abbott got pinned and gave away the Liberal Party, its supposedly quoting the Warburton Review.

Cabinet rejects the Liberal Party's hand-picked review panel led by businessman Dick Warburton, The Australian Financial Review.

The Warburton review recommended closing the large-scale RET to new entrants, effectively freezing the current 41,000GWh target at just 16,000GWh.

Labor yesterday said it was willing to give the aluminium sector a full exemption, which could involve reducing the target to about 39,000GWh or shifting the cost to other consumers

    Warburton Report.

Under current settings, the RET could be expected to result in a further $22 billion cross-subsidy
to the renewables sector (in NPV terms) over the remainder of the scheme and encourage
additional investment of $15 billion in new renewable generation capacity. `

Our report concludes that the costs of the scheme to the community outweigh its benefits and
    that significant change is required.

In preparing this report the Panel was supported by the staff based with the Prime Minister and Cabinet.
