ABC, NBC Finally Acknowledge Existence of Gruber Videos

The thing is that the 'truth' is gradually seeping out to the general public due -- as you say -- to the existence of the Internet and to those increasingly rare ethical journalists formerly members of the MSM who buck the 'go along to get along' pattern of the rest of their peers. But what's making the most difference and what deep-sixed the Dem Party's political fortunes in this mid term elections cycle was the subconscious processing of our nation's citizenry, the differences between what they read or hear the MSM 'say' and what they actually notice happening inside this nation and in the world in general and what their innate common sense tells them must therefore be the actual nature and state of reality.

In other words, simply via living and thinking while existing in the real world the average citizen is finally becoming convinced that the bulk of the Mainstream Media is chronically in-the-tank for Obama and for the Dem Party's leadership in general . . . and this makes them uneasy, even the Dem Party voter on the whole, because they KNOW that a chronically biased MSM is not good for the nation.

The American people weren't cheated. He was making observations regarding the arcane way in which legislation is drafted.

Obamacare is pretty much what it was sold as being. A way to get millions of people affordable health insurance and begin the process of shifting the US health care system away from the fee for service business model.

I didn't get my "news" on Obamacare from talk radio screamers or Fox. After all, it was right wing media that was constantly trying to mislead its audience about the law, with constant nonsense about non existant government takeovers and equally non existant death panels.

I read the newspapers and listened to what the experts said. What I got was exactly what I expected to get, and it has worked as I expected it to work (well, in my case, BTW).

And no, I don't view his remarks as particularly alarming. I know how the process actually works dynamically, and I also know that the average person sitting in front of Fox Noise has no clue.

Gruber isn't a public figure, and he isn't tactful. That's about it.

I am not aware that anyone on the left is trying to distance themselves from the Affordable Care Act.

Given that the prospect of repealing it is near zero, it's hard to see where you dreamed that idea up. If Obamacare was actually "an embarrasment to the left" as you claim, there would be no trouble finding the votes to override a Presidential veto of a repeal.

And the roots of the ACA ARE in the Heritage Foundation's proposal and in Romneycare. That's fact.

Oh, and since one of the GOP's mantras is "repeal and replace", I note that we've waited nearly five years for the GOP to tell us what "replace" should be.
