    Tell you what. I'll make you a promise.

    You "pro-lifers" get to work and address the problem of our RIDICULOUSLY high rate of infant mortality. Get it down to about 2 per 1,000 live births. Do this and I'll fully support curtailing 2nd and 3rd trimester abortions. Deal?

    Of course, this is going to take a lot of effort... increasing public knowledge through education, freely available pre and post natal medical care, nutritional programs etc.

    What child? Let me remedy your misunderstanding. A lawful abortion removes a few cells from an adult female. No children are involved at any stage.

    Why is it that alleged conservatives prefer to resort to forms of temporal and secular Communism instead of Capitalism to solve most of our social dilemmas, without being Angels on Earth so that we may confide in their sincerity at the same time?

    Promoting and providing for the general welfare should include infrastructure that could render the need for the medical procedure of abortion obsolete in modern times. Why not be that ethical even if you can't be that moral?
