FULL TITLE: Afghanistan's former president, who fled the day the Taliban entered Kabul, said he left because he thought it was the 'only way to keep the guns silent'
    https://www.businessinsider.com/ashraf-ghani-apology-said-fled-afghanistan-keep-guns-silent-2021-9

The former president of Afghanistan has spoken out saying that he fled to protect the people of Afghanistan. He also denies saying he left with approximately $169M in cash.

It sounds like a too little, too late to me but I'm not inclined to be lenient toward traitors. How does a person do this and look at themselves in the mirror?

    What do you think?

What I wanna know is how does a city have 6 million citizens and not have a robust army against the Taliban? The downfall of Afghanistan shows that contrary to what Graham wants, any blood in that country is wasted.

Heck NO, Biden had already snuck the military out without informing him. His army seeing that was going to fold like a cheap suite.

I imagine a large portion do not see much difference between the Taliban or the afghan government. Their beliefs are probably similar to the taliban’s anyway.

but those that don’t see things that way should be helped in leaving the country.

It's really bizarre how some people will scream from the rooftops about their "freedom" and "independence" (the basic rights we have as individuals in the USA) but don't hesitate even a nanosecond to think anybody outside of them may not be of all "one type". Why would all Afghani people (or anybody from any culture) think the same way? I can't get three friends to come up with dinner plans without some kind of craziness. And, their population over there is all lock step in line together? That's beyond myopic. It's dumb.
