Well Fox News has surrendered in the Trump/Fox "war". Ailes apparently called Trump multiple times trying to make nice with the Donald. And finally the Donald relented. Full story here

LOL, he should be glad I am not running the show at FOX, I would have told him that the next classless outburst on his part would assure that he would not be participating in any further "debates".

Ratings are the only thing that matters (or anything detrimental to the GOP) and he is a ratings magnet for some strange reason. Let the side show begin!

But Fox seems to have much lower standards.

But why should Meghan Kelly be fired when she was only doing her job - asking questions given to her from the upper echelon to ask the candidates?

She's not exactly her own boss. She takes orders from someone in the ivory tower........

Major New Outlets run their people from the top down. Kelly was following a script. Trump wasn't.

But I'm sure a Lib such as yourself had no problem when Candy Crowley strongly supported Obama's position in the CNN debate and then supported Obama's false position against Romney.

Can you count all the conservative Christian news editors, writers and journalists at CNN, MSNBC and the like?

    I can.

    It's zero.

Because a real journalist would state they were told to ask these questions. She didnt say that. She claimed SHE was doing good journalism. In other words she is saying this is her handywork. If so, she should be fired. Imo of course.

Exactly.....she exhibited her agenda in a blatant and disrespectful manner. Trump nailed her and his ratings have gone up...thanx to Megyn.

The moderators seemed to think it was all about them....they took up so much time for themselves there was very little time to actually talk about 'real issues'.

MARK LEVIN: FOX NEWS, MEGYN KELLY ‘HOSTED A NATIONAL ENQUIRER DEBATE, NOT A REPUBLICAN DEBATE

"Lawyer, constitutional scholar, best selling author, and conservative talk radio host Mark Levin, in an interview on the Breitbart News Saturday radio program, expressed outrage at the Thursday night GOP presidential debate hosted by Fox News."

Levin asserted, “I think that we were all duped. The fact of the matter is that this was a ratings gambit.”

Levin claims that “We the people” were overlooked in the debate, and the event became a media spectacle with more emphasis on the show’s moderators than on discussing the important issues that face America. “Even today, it’s all about who has Megyn Kelly’s back. We the people, this is our process. We don’t get that many opportunities to go through the primary process. There are only nine debates,” he said.

“The Great One” pointed out that Fox had an opportunity to host one of these important debates, “And they took advantage of us, they took advantage of the audience.” Levin explained that Kelly”s “question two,” accusing Donald Trump of making inappropriate comments to Rosie O’Donnell and others, “was outrageous.” Levin suggested that Fox went to great lengths to engage in “oppositional research” on Mr. Trump."

“This isn’t a matter of who I support but a matter of basic fairness and what a debate is to be like,” he clarified.

Well, guess we'll have to agree to disagree on this issue b/c I sure don't agree w/what you said here....

A journalist shouldn't have to inform anyone that he/she was 'told to ask certain questions' b/f he/she starts the questioning and most know that the questions are prepared ahead of time by someone else anyway and that shouldn't even be an issue......

If someone is going to put themselves out there, hoping to be elected, particularly for POTUS, they better brace themselves and expect the negative stuff from their past to be brought up and answer the question(s) w/honesty and dignity and NOT attack the journalist who asked the legit question on a personal level like Trump did to Kelly.

I like Trump for being able to stand up and speak the truth about our country, but he sure needs guidance in how to conduct himself when the questioning gets tough.....just my humble opinion.

The problem as you amply demonstrate and as Trump pointed out is 'political correctness'.......so many have been led astray by this pc ideology that one can hardly have any sort of honest conversation without being accused of being a waycist, a sexist, a homo-phobe etc.etc. and so on and so forth.

Trump got a huge ovation when he said "I do not have time for political correctness". That I think is a major reason he is leading the polls and all the pc types are wringing their hands.

Unfortunately....I think there is a great danger Trump will be assasinated....the media has gone to great lengths to 'demonize' him and some psycho out there who lets the media lead him around by the nose may very well get it into his head that he would be doing a 'great thing' to kill Trump.

Not like we do not have a history of it....i.e. Ronald Reagan, George Walace, Jfk, Huey P. Long etc.etc.

Well her claim was she was doing good journalism which means she is stating it was her choice.

One thing I can not stand is a little mealy mouthed pipsqueak like Levin being referred to as "The Great One". This guy is a third rate radio hack. Here are the REAL "Great Ones".

    Jackie Gleason

    Roberto Clemente

    Wayne Gretsky

Levin does not belong anywhere near their class. He's one of a hundred angry blowhards shooting his ignorant mouth off for hours on end everyday on second rate AM radio shows.

I guess greatness is in the eye of the beholder. In the case of talk radio adherents, the bar is extremely low.

Maybe that particular question of his past behavior towards women was her choice - I don't know. But I've always understood the questions are prepared by someone else for the journalists in these type of debates.....

Even if the question was 'out of line', as some might say, which personally I don't think it was b/c it shows a pattern of his temperament and his crude comment about Kelly showed us he can't handle unwanted questions w/tact and class......

I like him when he's kicking ass out of the libs, but do think he needs to learn to be a quick thinker about questions he doesn't like and give intelligent, mature answers.......to spout off about her and refer to her being on her period is jr. high stuff.......seriously.

I agree but it comes down to..... do you prefer an eloquent speaker like Obama who gives nukes to Iran, lets illegals in by the millions indebts your grandchildren, or would you rather have a politically incorrect crass speaker who wants what is best for the nation?

True! Fox (and the GOP) has been going lower and lower, since the Black man was elected President. (That's pretty obvious.)

Who knows who called who and what was said?

Megyn was not thrown under the bus because she did not apologize. Likely, she, lizard face and dracula were given instructions by Ailes to squish Donald and stop him from quacking. I stopped watching Fox over this, because it is not their job to engineer elections by coordinating attacks to oust their least favorite candidate. They are the media, and I expect them to inform us, not manipulate our vote.
