There are many females aware of birth control options it isn't this BIG secret! Plus if you're going to be sexually active why wouldn't one educate themselves if they don't want a pregnancy?

How many know the failure rate of condoms? And it is THAT particular piece of reproductive health information that is sadly lacking amongst the more ardent proponents of the myth that women are using abortion as birth control

There is this thing called Google, or womens centers that educate women! We are not living in the dark ages here. We have an overflow of knowledge. Why is it so difficult for you to believe people get caught up and are careless? If you're going to choose to be promiscuous it doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure out pregnancy could occur. Why wouldn't you do your research and plan accordingly?

As far as it being a heated argument, there are many factors as to why, judgement wasn't a factor. I answered your question with an example, but don't assume what you don't know.

That is maybe how things are in Australia, however in America resources and women's health centers are widely available. I mean look how quickly you pulled up a study. You knew to research. Why can't anyone else?

I am not one who supports defunding Planned Parenthood because they offer a lot of the resources and help low income women, it's not just abortions. They supply birth control to women who can't afford it and work with them. Many Conservatives disagree with me on that point, but it is true. If a woman chooses to be sexually active she can get a free consult at Planned Parenthood, there are other clinics as well, PP is just the most known one.

Birth control is needed and both parties are responsible. I don't even put it all on the women though. So many men pressure women to let them have sex unprotected and will just "pull out" , yet some don't want to be there if the woman gets pregnant, but the women also cave to the request. Both men and women should be fully aware a pregnancy can occur if you are careless in your sexual activity, and should take necessary precautions. However, men can bail and they do sadly, women can't bail so women need to take extra precautions to prevent an unwanted pregnancy. It's a sad reality, but it is reality nonetheless.

Mate not many can critique the information they are receiving which is the difference between “googling” something and being able to offer up a systematic review

 

If you bothered to read about the situation it is a protest by the female lawmaker over the numerous attempts by her fellow lawmakers to control women’s reproductive rights in her state. She knows it can never become law but wants to draw attention to how men in her state want control over women, but would never allow the reverse to happen.
