She is the female version of Homer Simpson I do not think anyone would have taken her seriously 4 years ago, but now people like her are accepted and even celebrated. Democrats want people like her to represent them in Congress

She says insane things when she is called out.

Some things she has said:

• She told MSNBC’s Chris Hayes that the Tea Party movement is different from the progressive movement “because the grounding of the Tea Party was xenophobia, the underpinnings of white supremacy.”
• While fear mongering about climate change she mused, “There’s scientific consensus that the lives of children are going to be very difficult. And it does lead young people to have a legitimate question: is it okay to still have children?”
• AOC said social media is a “public health risk,” so she “gave up Facebook.” However, she kept all of her other social media pages and her campaign continued to advertise on Facebook. Seems legit.
• She claimed dogs get more time with their babies than women do:
• She called immigration detention centers “concentration camps” and doubled down on it, despite outrage from real Holocaust survivors:

She is one of those people that sees no line between truths and lies. She and Adam Schiff should move in together.

 

One could argue the reasoning of those statements but until she starts calling for public officials to be executed or space lasers started forest fires I won't be losing any sleep.

I don’t see these statements as being all that out there to be honest.

• While the Tea Party had a relatively diverse set of goals, among them was a rejection of amnesty. I can understand why she would feel personally attacked by that and how it would shape her opinion of the movement.
  
• The majority of experts believe that human caused climate change is happening and it is leading to catastrophic damage to our environment. When people have doubts about the future their children will face they tend to question bringing them into the world. Considering America’s declining birth rate this seems like a valid concern to address.
  
• I dropped Facebook too. Good for her. She probably doesn’t micromanage every aspect of her campaign.
  
• Half of women in the US only end up with around five weeks of maternity leave after having a child. Compare that to standard practice for dogs where puppies are kept with their mothers for eight weeks minimum. Another issue Americans are facing that deserves attention.

The left hasn't elected AOC President. The Orange One was a believer in the same type conspiracy theories as the crazy
new MAGA Congresswoman. There is a difference. BOTH parties have lurched into crazy land, but at least
the Dems have yet to make one President.
