    I'm against homosexual rights too.

I do not believe in special privileges for any group.

I am against discrimination and am for fair treatment under the law.

Gay rights are not something homosexuals should be for either, if they truly want to be tolerated and not discriminated against.

Anybody who is for more rights for their group, homosexual, christian, conservative, liberal, Truther, Birther, whatever, should be flogged and locked in a stockade.

It's always amazing to me that the people who tell me to move to a "socialist country" (which is a meaningless category, honestly) are usually the most hostile to the existence of these regimes. How many "love it or leave it" types would say the same to a Cuban exile?

"Well, if you don't like Castro why don't you just move to the US?" - No US anticommunist ever.

my past sins are forgiven, just like the last 4 times you tried to end a conversation you didn't like reading about with 2nd marraiges. lol

and I do preach that to my sons, too.

.50 cents, 5 million dollars.... does not matter. If you are fine with it.... that does not obligate me to be fine with it. tryinhg to margainalize the amount, when you have been preaching that "it affects you in absolutely no way" is just a backpedal....

How about providing creditable links to your accusation. Where is the proof that 1/2 of Christian marriages fail. I'm finding nothing of the sort.

    That's a false equivalency.

If you love socialism or communism, move there, and stop trying to turn America into one.

    We don't want it here.

as a Christian, I don't have any objections to gay marraige. That's what's ironic about the entire argument. My soul is not affected in any way whatsoever by someone else having gay sex or trying to marry the same gender. I still believe it's a sin, but I understand that my beliefs don't affect whether a gay man gets into heaven. I may be completely wrong about if gay is a sin, so when I wake up in Heaven, and see all the gay men up there.... I won't be upset, or feel cheated. As a Christian, I hope everyone accepts Jesus and believes he died for their sins. I still sin. I still fall short, so whether my sin is a second marriage, or gay sex..... I'm still forgiven

give me just a minute on the economic concerns I have..... I'll follow up on it..... just pressed for the time I need.

Seems someone doesn't understand the difference between "supporting".... and "not opposing".

    Then calls names.

[/h]False statement. There are many Christians who support gay rights and same-sex marriage. I personally know several.

I'm more of the not opposing type rather than supporting.

The idea does not actually appeal to me, but I am against discrimination, and not allowing them to marry because it hurts someone's feelings is no reason to discriminate against an entire group. I also believe that legislation should not be based on one's emotions. and that it's wrong to impose one's morality on to other people in order to control them.

Sorry, i just can not see that as having any validity what so ever, and is completely asinine.

Those who oppose homosexual marriage, actively and non actively, have no valid justification to do so.

And also, I can't be married because I'm an atheist. According to them marriage is onyl for white heterosexual Christians, and nobody else may apply.

Which is something =that should be opposed if you're fair treatment. I really can't see why I shouldn't be allowed to be married to a woman i would be in love with just because. it's completely asinine.

The other correlation too is that these are the exact same arguments that wouldn't allow blacks to inter-racially marry as well.

So, I just can't see those who oppose homosexual marriage as having any real or valid justification of any sort other than it hurts their feelings because they can't be special any more.

Your commentary 'implied' a lot more than you likely believe it did. People can think for themselves, and they aren't just tracking what you said word-for-word. That's typical.

I'm giving you feedback, that's all.

Name ONE "special privilege" you know homosexual people to be advocating for. Please.

Some people's 'reactions' to this/that issue or incident, does NOT reflect the overall fight for equality being waged.

Now, in my view, I don't think religion should be used as justification as some businesses seek to apply it. I mean, if you're going to go after or exclude gay people... why not the violent, the adulterers, the wrongly divorced or the liars... etc.?

I despise it when people use religion to single-out and persecute or discriminate against homosexual people. I surely don't see Jesus Christ in that; not one bit.

Look up what "homophobic" means, then use the word accordingly. And the media is what it has always been. People who can't think for themselves shouldn't even bother watching... it's simply not good for them.

If you have a business that does not serve gays (or others, due to some philosophical or religious view)... then it ought to be posted at the entrance of your establishment and taxes adjusted for those being discriminated against. After all, those people you exclude also pay for the police, the roads, sidewalks, water and sewage your business most likely benefits from.

Remember. You are the one who entered the arena. Your comments mean/imply more than what is limited to your own thinking.

I don't care if your past sins are forgiven or not. I don't care if your current sins are forgiven or not. I care one bit if you even know if your sins are forgiven. You really don't know, unless you're God.
In most 2nd marriages today, they are almost all adulterous per the biblical divorce reasons. So most 2nd marriages are adulterous. That doesn't change. Sorry.
I only point it out because there is no difference between adulterous 2nd marriages and gay marriages in the eyes of the biblical God. And one can never ever know someone elses relationship with their personal God.

I have never preached it affects you in no way, or anyone in no way. I just find your reason's you claim to be pretty silly and petty.

economic reasons are simple..... it's cost/risk in things like insurance.

Think about auto insurance. Who is the highest risk drivers on the road. Single Males aged 16-25. Even without an accident, they have outrageous premiums. Add some wrecks, or tickets or a redsportscar and it skyrockets even more.

but with their risks, comes an increased cost to insurers, who then pass the risk back down to those in that demographic. That means, as a 40 yo married man with kids who drives a mini-van..... my premiums don't go up to offset thecost associated with the 21 yo with 2 tickets for speeding tickets. He pays for his risk level, I pay for mine.

However, with health insurance, gay men are the highest risk group for HIV/AIDs and other std's that increase the costs to health insurance companies. However, instead of having gays pay premiums based on their risks factors, and me paying for premiums based on my risk factors..... gays become eligible for spouse rates. They get high risk group coverage, at supplimented costs. Insurance companies won't eat that cost, they pass that cost on to all the other policy holders and drives up everyone else's cost based on a high risk demographic demanding that they get a spouse rate when they are married.

DairyAir can marginalize the actual cost I have to pay.... but whether it's 1$ a month, or 100$ or 1000$ .... it doesn't change that I am economically affected by it.

    Where have you looked?
And I haven't made a distinctive claim, only generalized.
Now if you think no christian has got divorced and remarried, I'd like to see that stat.
    For I know several.

PS - if it isn't near the 50% I've been saying, is there a % where it makes no difference? At what point should adultery become radar for christians? And what about non christians? Many gays are not christian.

I'm failing to see your concern.

Which is just fine. People are entitled to whatever personal opinion on the matter they choose, and religious entities should not be compelled by government to perform any religious rite for anyone.

I just cannot see how seeking legal recognition of a same-sex marriage equates to an agenda or conspiracy to destroy Christianity. It looks more to me as though some people just hate others' freedom.

No, I dont believe so, it is only those that confuse the civil recognition with the religious. I can believe (and do) that our gay citizens deserve the same rights and privileges afforded to any other citizen while disapproving of their lifestyle.

Does that make me a bigot?

I'm not God.... I have Faith in the teachings that my sins are forgiven, whether you forgive me or not is of no concern.

I am not condeming gay marriage as a Christian.... it's what you can't grasp. I don't oppose gay marraige because I'm a Christian.... I oppose gay marriage because I'm a fiscal conservative.
