Almost Unbelievable This Still Goes On

For returning students to Santa Monica City College, here are mandates re: covid.

Below sounds like what was being pushed when it ALL started in early 2020.


While the mandatory COVID-19 vaccination program has been rescinded, Santa Monica College continues to enforce all the safety protocols that helped keep spread at a minimum throughout the pandemic. For your own safety and that of others:

• Fill out the Daily Symptoms Checklist before you get to campus.
• 
  
• Wear (at least) a surgical mask covering your mouth and nose indoors (surgical masks are available in SMC classrooms/offices).
• 
  
• Use hand sanitizer or wipes when entering and leaving class.
• 
  
• Wipe down your seat, desk, and shared tools before and after class.
• 
  
• Sanitize markers and other shared tools when you're done using them.
• 
  
• Enter the room only when prompted by your instructor.
• 
  
• Maintain social distance when entering and exiting class.
• 
  
• Do not eat or drink during class.

Remember this will not just help prevent the spread of COVID, but will also keep you safe from many other transmissible diseases and viruses.

So what is the Big Deal, the insane paranoia continues, covid long gone and the control BS goes on and
on. You like to be controlled then continue ....

 

If people had done all those things from the beginning we probably wouldn't have had any problem

What if the next one is Ebola or worse?

What everyone needs to do is take Vit C, Vit D, Zinc, and my best thing: Grape Seed Extract.

We still wear masks all the time at the hospital, well unless alone in a private office, but the sanitizing stuff isn't all that important for covid. So yeah, some of that seems like overkill. Out in public there's lots of businesses with signs that say they still require masks, but almost none of them seem to enforce it anymore. This is in a semi-conservative/suburban part of California, not Sacramento.

I wonder if wearing masks all the time at the hospital is just how it's going to be from now on. I don't think I mind though.

 

Well about the hospital world and sounds like you work in one L.U., I have had a couple trips to the hospital in my my 84 yrs and honestly hardly ever a mask except for O.R.', then the surgeons put the mask on for their surgery stuff. Then in 2016 I spent 4,5 months in hospital and rehabs for a knee issue, and NEVER a mask until the hospital wheeled me down for knee "clean out"....a big mistake by the way, All the months in rehabs, NOT A MASK TO BE SEEN, sanitizers on the wall as one comes into a room but not a mask. This was ALL before covid so I can understand how a hospital NOW would be on high mask etc alerts.

 

Lol..what if. Leftist don't think the average person has any common sense. Nosiree, we gotta listen the government, CDC, WHO, big pharmaceuticals, and celebrities. They know best.

There is always something out there regardless if it's the flu, chickenpox, monkeypox, mad cow diseases, etc. You can bunker up and watch life breezes by you or live you life.

 

And furthermore, a big lightbulb reminder, the experimental shots NEVER prevented the covid... They are not vaccines, vaccines prevent....

Vaccines can be Prophylactic or therapeutic. SOME offer full immunity. Some ameliorate the effects or symptoms of future wild pathogens.

I don't get all the hand-wringing either. So what if colleges want to take precautions?

 

I agree, paranoia is a serious problem, but the paranoia is over vaccines or that asking people to wear a mask is somehow going to lead to totalitarian rule.
