It's called compromise though and also how does that give them the right to sit on their hands for over a month and not write their own version?

Because the House usually is the body to pass spending bills first. Get the 435 people to agree on something first, then it's easier for 100 people to pass it afterwards.

But it's naive to think that the Senate wasn't in contact with the House on both sides of the aisle watching the proposals as they developed.

That depends on how the limitations were structured.

I've never seen a bill as contentious as this be passed in the 4 days needed because McConnell didn't introduce the bill until July 27th... McConnell didn't know he'd need more than 4 days given how far apart they were from the outset?

We will never know, since no limitation structure was ever agreed to.

I think they didn't want to vote for a bill with billions to be transferred to state and local governments.

if the economy crashes, just like a game of monopoly, we all start over from scratch, the poor will still be poor, and the mega rich probably come out the best, the middle class will be toast

The House passed this already in the Heroes Bill

The Senate under Moscow Mitch refuses to even vote on it

The House passed a bill to fund the Post Office

The Senate refuses to vote on it

I see you omitted, either intentionally or not, that the democrat bill also included a substantial tax deduction of the wealthy in blue states.

    Thanks.

    That's a fair criticism.

It would put money in the hands of middle class Americans. It's a tax CUT . Remember when Republicans used to love those? Money in people's hands is money to help a faltering economy. That's not exactly bad is it?

But hey...negotiate it out. Has the Senate even tried?

Oh by the way...it was a tax meant to offset the 40% corporate tax cut and was targeted at Blue States (and hit a hell of a lot of Republicans)
