American flag Banned in US school-Mexican flag OK.

I just can't believe how far and how fast this country has fallen in the last 10 years. I don't even recognise it anymore. The citizens of the US need to stand up now and put a stop to Judicial activism or there will be nothing left of the land of the free!!

Any person that immigrates to this country and refuses to knowledge the US as their sovereign, should be thrown the hell out!!

It's my contention that political correctness was designed in a third world country to reduce first and second world countries to their level.

The court should've ruled that both displays of national pride caused disruptions. Therefore, the school should have to discipline both.

No, the Mexican flag should not be allowed. The school should be instilling pride in the country who pays the bills!!!

If the Mexicans love Mexico so much, they can go back there! My people immigrated into the US and they worked hard to become Americans. They left their country behind and assimilated into the US.

I think any red blooded American regardless of political stance should be outraged over this.

First and foremost we are in America, and no other flags should be represented in a public school. Public Schools are public offices, owned, operated and paid for by Americans.

I would agree with the Judge if the school had controlled both sides equally, but this is insanity at best.

I have no problem with immigrants, nor traditions they bring with them as long as they acknowledge America as their primary country.

Like some have said, if they are so proud of Mexico, then why are they in America?

 

You instill pride in the United States through schooling by teaching about United States history, and through the pledge of allegiance. However, whether students are showing their pride towards Mexico, or their pride towards the United States, if they are threatening to disrupt normal school activity, as the article indicates, they need to be disciplined.

We play Mexican music and eat Mexican food and dress up in sombreros.and fake mustaches. We buy a piñata for the kids..

Only one does and those students who would cause a disruption over the American flag should be disciplined and educated that they are in the United States and that is our flag.

But then why is an American school celebrating a Mexican Independence Day (which Cinco di Mayo isn't anyway and not even really celebrated in Mexico).

they are fixing their country when they celebrate their flag here, living here allows them to send money back home to mexico and its also a way of colonizing part of the country back into mexico

the more population they create in america the more influential they can be in politics and that would benefit mexico

imo they have earned the right to celebrate their flag here without interference from the american flag for one day at least
