Can't seem to find it. got a link?

did find some very interesting studies about cable news bias vs influencing power. I admit some of it sailed over the ol noodle, but its a rather fascinating attempt at analysing a sources' editorial/ideological bias (real not perceived) , its audience demographics and its power amongst that viewership in influencing opinion.

I'm on a phone and not sure how to link. But I Googled "UCLA media bias study" and lots of articles came up. It's from December 2005, but the bias in the media has only got worse since then. It states 18 of the top 20 outlets lean left.

At one time they had a graph showing Fox closer to the middle than CBS, NBC, ABC, CNN, or MSNBC. I couldn't find that graph today.

    Interesting reading.

    Thanks.

Yes I saw that one but I thought you might have been referring to a newer one since the 12 year old study, given the dynamic nature of the industry, has little relevance today other than to give an historical comparative.

It doesn't harm it at all. In fact it strenghtens the notion that the NYT has integrity. thanks.

Not too much has changed. I think the left wing media has moved slightly left and the right wing media has moved slightly right. Overall, things are about where they were in 2005.

I'd love to see a new study.

The bottom line here is that CNN and NYT have received mortal blow from Veritas project. Now as they are giants they keep standing for now. But in some future they will inevitably fall.
