it's now about 52-48 against I agree at this point, people want justice, but they don't want a scene, the voters will make their mark in about 13.5 months. What the whistleblower has to say will amplify those numbers, IMHO.

It would be better to just censor him, and ride it out for a year, it will go fast. In addition, if impeachment proceedings do go full throttle, nothing, I mean nothing will get done. Not sure if I would call Trump unstable, but his ego trumps (some pun intended) his legal duties, and it is all about him, irrelevant of the legal process.

None of those questions is relevant to these charges because they cannot excuse withholding funding as a veiled threat, or the president personally involving himself in a potential investigation of the son of a political opponent by asking anyone for anything. . If Hunter's connection needs to be investigated for some potential charge, let law enforcement investigate it using their own tools and sources. The President needs to stay out of it regardless.

You sound like those people who say a ref can't call that in the last minute of a game. I used to officiate and the ref's creed is that if it's an infraction in the first minute it's an infraction in the last. If it were Oct. 2020 and evidence of impeachable actions by the president surfaced they should be acted upon if there is to be any credibility in the process. You can't censure a president and he can do even more damage than he already has if left unchecked. Congress has a responsibility to impeach if their investigations warrant and the Senate has a responsibility to convict if deemed guilty. Nixon didn't resign because there were articles of impeachment being drawn up by Democrats but because he knew that in the end his party would drop him faster than a poisonous snake when faced with losing voters. My prediction? Trump will be impeached. Republican Senators start talking about his unsuitability. Trump will resign prior to the Senate vote because of medical reasons but I don't think it will be bone spurs.
Simple reality is this will rally Trump's base well more than 2016 and those sitting on the fence will lean his way in the end because they will recognize the Dems just keep wasting our tax dollars on witch hunts! The Dems have no vision for America beyond defeat Trump! And they are losing that battle miserably! And Elizabeth Warren isn't as strong of a candidate as Hillary was; so, game, set, match!

More importantly, 70% of independents are not in favor of impeachment. Thata why Democrats will lose again.
