Not that I recall though it's possible. Whats your point? I've been directed to storm front and KKK by liberals on this forum and I hazard a guess those folks believe what they post on the web. We're right back to square one where you left off with the other poster. Investigate what the truth really is, don't take it at face value. Just because something's asserted on the Internet does not make it valid. Ronstar is neither King or God.

I see no where did I compare them. The silliness is completely of your own making.
I can equate them if you like. Some people may believe everything posted by AI. Some people may beleive everything posted on stormfront. Some people may beleive every ugly guy they meet on the Internet is a French model.
Personally I beleive a grain of salt is handy to have on hand.

so you think that having faith in the legitimacy of AI's annual reports on human rights situations of nations of the world, is no better than having faith in Stormfront of the KKK?

    that's absurd and silly

It's the implications of your position. AI are no better than any other group / organisation in the analysis of these events.

As I said it's the implication of your position. Keep it up. We'll just keep telling you the same.

Actually, you do have to cherry pick when you look at Amnesty International, which is an NGO cited for bias against Israel.

It's like an admission of personal guilt. AI has been accused of bias on many occasions - bias slanted against Israel. So, when a group that biased admits that the entity their biased in favor of - has committed atrocities and war crimes, what they're citing is probably a lot worse than the actual citation.

    Certainly you understand that?

claiming that all AI reports criticising Israel are wrong, is absurd.

Since I never made that claim - you're projecting.

What you have to understand is that Israel is NOT committing war crimes by bombing areas where military operations are taking place - or where the enemy is storing weapons.

This is what so many of you miss.

Here is the rule from the Geneva Conventions:

"Article 51(7) of the 1977 Additional Protocol I provides:
The presence or movements of the civilian population or individual civilians shall not be used to render certain points or areas immune from military operations, in particular in attempts to shield military objectives from attacks or to shield, favour or impede military operations. The Parties to the conflict shall not direct the movement of the civilian population or individual civilians in order to attempt to shield military objectives from attacks or to shield military operations. "

    https://www.icrc.org/customary-ihl/eng/docs/v2_rul_rule97

When Israel fires on the location from which rockets are fired - that is legitimate EVEN if that location is a school, etc.

So - when Hamas fires rockets from residential neighborhoods - they are the ones committing the war crimes.

It's not a difficult concept but many just do not know what the war crimes actually are.

You're trying to project something as fact, when indeed, it's fiction.

Please respond to my post about the Geneva Conventions and how that makes it clear that Hamas, not Israel, is committing war crimes.

    you conveniently ignored that.

    that's not what "projecting" means.

    - - - Updated - - -

The 4th GC makes it very clear that Israel has been committing war crimes since 1949.

You're deflecting again. This thread (and the citation I provided) is about Hamas using civilians as human shields.

I showed you how Hamas is committing war crimes by using residential units and schools from which to fire their rockets. I showed you how Israel was allowed, according to the Geneva Conventions, to legally fire on those targets.

You respond with an ambiguous comment that the Fourth GV shows that Israel committed war crimes.

Not good enough. You need to show how Israel is committing war crimes in relationship to THIS topic - not some obscure comment that means nothing.

If you have evidence that it's OKAY under the GV for Hamas to fire rockets or store weapons in houses and schools - belly up to the bar and show all of us.

If not - admit you were wrong.

Wow- the Geneva Conventions are completely lost on you, aren't they?

You might want to go back and reread the one I posted just a bit ago.

If Israel fires on a legit target (and a rocket launcher is considered legit), then the fault of civilian deaths is borne by those who put children around the launcher.

That's a legal fact - not an opinion.

You might not like it - but you're blaming the wrong party on this one.

    I already did. Post #44.

This is why some here get accused of being antisemitic. When you are shown citations from the Geneva Convention that prove it is a war crime to have children in the proximity of weapons, and you still refuse to acknowledge the fact - others are forced to think that you have a deeper reason. A darker reason.

The UN has formally accused Israel of war crimes during Operation Cast Lead. These accusations include:

    -targeting civilians

-attack upon a mosque, non-military target.

-missile attack upon a civilian home.

-reckless use of white phosphorous in civilian areas

-use of civilian human shields, forcing civilians to inspect possible explosives, torturing detainees,

the report however found no evidence of Palestinian armed groups placing civilians in areas where attacks were being launched; of engaging in combat in civilian dress; or of using a mosque for military purposes or to shield military activities

    Interesting that - isn't it?

Why do you suppose John Kerry lashed out at the UN about their "obsession" with Israel?

Let's look at what he said:

"In a Monday speech in Geneva before the U.N. intergovernmental body, Kerry said the group’s heavy focus of Israel’s human rights records “risks undermining the credibility of the entire organization.”

“We will oppose any effort by any group or participant in the U.N. system to arbitrarily and regularly delegitimize or isolate, Israel,” Kerry said. He said no country should be free from scrutiny on human rights, but no country should be subjected to “unfair or unfounded bias.”

    http://www.voanews.com/content/kerr...s-councils-obsession-with-israel/2664290.html

Now, think about this. The UN does not cite China for its human rights violations, which, as we all know - are many. The word Kerry did not use - but the word on the tips of tongues all over the world, is "antisemitic." The UN has been accused of being antisemitic.

Yet, when international groups are sent in to investigate the charges - guess what? They don't pan out.

    How do you explain that?

    Bias? Ya think?
