Nothing to apologize for I didn't make a mistake, I just posted what you stated in the past to what you claimed later on.

That's the nice thing about the net, what folks like politicians state in the past can many times be used as a comparison of truth when they blather out something which is a contradiction of a past statement, a good example of that is how the democrats are getting nailed over newly found their opposition of a wall something they supported previously.

Yet you state making it about you is OT and a violation of the rules, but then turn around and do the very same thing, which is very hypocritical.

    But not surprising.

If I am not mistaken (always possible), I seem to recall you are from Cincinnati. If so, perhaps you might be aware of a window cam video source for that I believe occurred near Cincinnati a few years ago when during a traffic stop a sheriff’s deputy or state office was fired upon by the driver and in response returned fire. Both the bad guy and the office emptied their weapons at near point blank distances without landing a hit; shear luck on the officer’s part he wasn’t wounded.

Funny. There are a handful posting here that have been in a gun fight, they exhibit common clues in their posts by what they share and as importantly, what they don’t. I suspect each is aware of the others by the nature of their posts. In Ireland there is a saying ‘Aithníonn ciaróg ciaróg eile’ (‘One beatle knows another’).

It’s not about judging a person’s background in general, but a specific type of experience.

A few years back there was a LEO involved shootout where 5 Miami-Dade officers where firing at a single bad guy, three of the officers ran out of ammunition and the only reason the bad guy surrendered was he got hit with a hunk of bark off of the tree he was hiding behind.

The MD officers however did a fine job of shooting up some parked cars and a couple of homes downrange, it's nothing short of a miracle no innocents where hit or killed.

And then there are accounts such as the following:

    https://www.huffingtonpost.com/entry/nypd-84-shots-brooklyn_us_55ec4b31e4b093be51bbb978

An attempted murder suspect who fired at New York police was apprehended only after police engaged him in a gun fight, firing a barrage of bullets.

Of the 84 total shots cops fired, one struck the suspect.

Early Friday morning, 27-year-old Jerrol Harris ran from police after allegedly robbing a Brooklyn man, then shooting the victim in the arm as he fled, according to multiple news reports.

When police identified Harris, the suspect immediately began to fire on the cops, police said.

“He fired at them, and they fired back,” NYPD Deputy Commissioner Stephen Davis told the New York Daily News. “That’s when he was hit.”

The incident took place in the Bushwick neighborhood of Brooklyn at about 1:15 a.m., starting when 52-year-old Leon Faison discovered Harris inside his car attempting to steal items, ABC 7 reported. Harris then shot Faison in the arm before running off, according to police.

Despite being wounded, Faison managed to alert police on the street, who found Harris a short time later, after he allegedly fired at them with his black .40-caliber Taurus Millennium pistol, according to the New York Times.

Davis told the NYDN that four officers fired back, letting off 52 rounds, all which missed. A bullet from Harris’ gun managed to hit an unmarked police car, Davis said.

The suspect then took off before being spotted by officers Wanda Crooks and Alem-Tsehay Clarke. The cops each fired 16 rounds at the suspect, with one of the bullets striking Harris in the calf and bringing him down.

“I couldn’t believe how long it was going on,” a resident told ABC 7. “It just kept coming and kept coming and I was like, ‘is this really happening?’”

The suspect has 12 prior arrests, including four robbery arrests and a gun possession arrest.

Harris now faces several counts of first-degree and second-degree attempted murder, among other felony charges.

Maybe they should upgrade to Carry Optics division, and get rid of those NY triggers.

Interesting, after the Neville Johnson shooting, the City of Miami Police Department had all of their duty revolvers modified so the hammers could not be cocked, forcing the officers to always fire double action.

I first ran into this at a City of Miami PD open house where they where allowing the general public to enter and use their shoot don't shoot simulator.

I was invited by an officer/friend to be there all day and photograph the open house, so I had a rather interesting day.

Very few of those who participated survived, most where by the simulator shot by the bad guy they came across or killed an innocent.

Of the few who survived, one was a young man, maybe 19 who almost wasn't allowed in, but the TOIC cut him some slack and let him participate, he did well, survived, but lost a few points as one of the training officers noticed, after he drew his firearm he tried to **** it, it wouldn't ****, none the less he did concentrate on all of the crap that was going down in front of him and shot the bad guy, twice, literally milliseconds after the bad guy pulled a handgun out of his waist band.

It was near the end of the day and I was sent to the simulator just before him and after was in a hotwash area waiting for the paramedics to release me, my blood pressure was too high at the time, he came over and sat down and I politely asked him where he learned to shoot and his answer was basically where ever he could as he understood to stay alive where he lived, Overtown, one needed to be aware of ones surroundings to survive and had to know how to use a handgun.

As an aside, the office used in the simulator was a patrol car, the first-up's two people at a time, who where going to be put through the simulator sat in the front seat of the patrol car, the second-up's where in the back seat and literally locked in, no door knobs on the inside to open either rear door.

The idea being as, I was advised was, the next up's could get an idea of what was going to be presented, what they where not told was each simulation was under the control of a training officer and he would mix up the simulation, so no two where alike the idea was watch and learn a little, don't just remember the answers.

Second aside, no one from media survived, it was comical, one reporter literally turned around squat down and hid behind the passenger side door, I'm willing to bet he needed some extra bleach the next day to get the brown stain out of his undies.

Interesting, the forum filter deleted the term (rooster) for pulling back the hammer on a double action firearm to allow it to fire single action.

and you have never had any role in civilian law enforcement or civilian self defense training. And you have never shot anyone in a civilian environment either. Your claimed military experience is worthless in this area. And yeah I wore a suit. WTF do you think FBI special agents wear? tutus?

stop the drama. You constantly claim your service gives you some sort of superior expertise as to CIVILIAN firearms issues than I do even though i was a firearms trainer for my DOJ component, and have years and training in CIVILIAN defensive firearms issues. You insult my service and my experience so stop crying when I note that the CB isn't the Green Beret or Marine Recon when it comes to firearms expertise

Or fights on the net tossing bits, bytes and insults, instead of punches.

He has even been awarded a medal for such exemplary service.
