I have seen the show. I've got to admit that 70% of the show is Crack pot but the other 30% is quite interesting and leaves room to question. So I created this thread.Discuss the TV show to answer the ultimate question. is god just an ancient man's misinterpretation of an alien encounter?
It is more likely than the one talked about in the bible. At least there is evidence of like creatures being in all parts of the world. No evidence of the bible one.
Most of the show is based on Daniken, who is a known liar, anf falsifier of information. His book is filled with junk numbers, inaccuracies and outright lies. As far as the premises, we simply have no real evidence to go on, so as a fun exercise in what if...sure why not. If you view the mysteries from a archeological and historical prespective, then yes there is alot to find out about our ancient past. Whether talking about baalbek, or Ruins in Bolivia, among many other facinating strange and mysterious sites its all interesting. I just wished they were more serious about it, instead of making it just a unintended joke.
It's not a misinterpretation of an alien encounter, it's all documented by km.t and the Romans. Polybius wrote a chronicle about it as I'm sure the Greeks did too
During WW2 we used a pacific islands as our staging point. We gave the natives some of our cargo before we left. Many years later we discovered that those natives made replicas of the planes we used and prayed to it for the sky people to return. UFO phenomenon is widely excepted. If this happens now why couldn't it happen then. The event on that pacific island clearly makes it evident that natives with no understanding of technology would perceive something like this as devine. It's plausible. Furthermore we have many ruins of ancient cities that about 12000 years old back when we're were supposed to be cavemen. Back when the ice caps melted some great cities got flooded like the one in china.others in higher locations like puma punku simple got destroyed. every engineer who looked at the site described it as machined. Under a microscope the tool marks shows that a dimamd saw had to be used. Such sites mysterious. Or it could simply be that hopi Indians are right we are I'm a 4th vice and there had been 3 vices before this. Humanity build up to the hight of their technology and we're wiped out by a calamity. These ruins could be the remains of the 3rd cycle.the last great race of humans.after 12000 years only stone is left behind.

Well of course you can. Be mindful however that your word is as good as any Theist when it comes to things that you cannot prove.
Well it is nice to know that science has boundaries: it would be nice if some of the followers of science would keep that in mind when they are dealing with the rest of the world.
I haven't read his book but I just watched this video of his. Erich von Daniken - The Ancient War in Heaven and The Arrival of Extraterrestrial Gods I haven't formed any firm opinions. I'm just posting it to share it. I'm going to watch the video in post #9.
I dunno about 'Aliens' (I'm open to the idea), but the existence of modern -and therefore potentially civilized- humans keeps going further and further back as we keep digging and building DNA models and etc. Given that human civilization has always been primarily condensed to coastal regions, and given that coastal regions from 12,000 years ago are all hundreds of feet under water now, its not impossible that complex and technologically advanced civilizations existed in pre-history (pre-history from our perspective of course). If COVID had killed everyone like the news wanted us to think it would, 5,000 years later there would be no obvious evidence that our civilization ever existed. Though the Egyptian pyramids would still be there...
You havn't met my wife .. all our friends agree .. Alien .. which is a bad term really .. these are hybrid humans .. .. more recently impregnated by the Alien seed .. than the original drones produced by the Aliens to do work they were to lazy to do. A smart plan though if you think about it .. you come down to a new planet you don't want have to do the manual labor by yourself .. if you can create a worker drone all the better .. and that is what they did .. you and me being the result ... so . sorry to say but if you meet an alien on the street it is not going to look freaky .. 5 eyes and so on .. they look like US .. just like the Bible say .. "Like US - In Our Image" .. no idea what folks find so difficult to understand about that ? but Speaking of Covid .. A gal -friend comes to visit my wife .. sitting drinking - smoking a few feet away from each other for 3 hours .. the girl hacking and coughing a bit though .. a day later has Covid .. the wife .. Nope. At a NY-Eve party a double vaxed super spreader in attendance gives us Covid .. which was far less nasty that other flu bugs had in the past.... we all get it .. except my Wife .. Alien ..
