Firstly I wanted to place this topic in Russia & Eastern Europe but then I thought that it’s sort of cosmopolitan news. ;)

It’s not the Olympic record. And Borodin isn’t a Russian sportsman but he’s a very interesting person.

The most expensive villa in Great Britain was bought by the former head of Moscow Bank Andrey Borodin who had been put on the wanted list before. He paid 140 million Euro for the villa. Until recent time, the buyer’s name was not known as the deal was executed through a company registered in the British Virgin Islands.

Well let’s be glad for Borodin’s sake.

p.s. Btw Borodin’s friend the former Mayor of Moscow Yury Luzhkov, who is the implacable anti-western fighter and true Russian patriot have a modest property in UK as well. > http://cev51.clan.su/_fr/0/0494605.jpg
I wonder why he wouldn’t buy the property in brotherly Venezuela or Iran. May be he decided to fight against the West in the enemy's territory?
