    Yes, they are. They put the laws or free trade agreements in. Of course, they are only doing what they are paid to do.

    I don't know why people can't understand, gov't is the puppet, they do nothing without their puppeteers.
    It's just us american voting public workers are not the puppeteers as this country was set up to be. It is the other people, corporations, that the gov't cowtows to. Afterall, they are the people with the money.

    You're talking about financial deregulation of the markets by Bush and co which Obama has just reregulated.

    That's responsible government in my book.

    But it hasn't touched the ability of banks and hedge finds to continue speculating in, and making money out of, fictitious financial instruments.

    I know, and Newscorp has been involved in it a couple of times now, publicly, and gotten away with it each time. They even admitted with the satellite company "yeah, we hacked their codes". And our "justice" system gave them a $2,000 fine. Wow, I bet that hurt Prince Talal and "naturalized" "citizen" Rupert Murdoch. They wipe their butts with $2,000 just to make sure they didn't miss any dingleberries.

    Corporate terrorism is cool though right? It only becomes terrorism for real when regular citizens do it in response to an original offense [commonly called "defense"].
