Every now and then I encounter a slick new product. One that wow'ed me was the system at my dentist that manufactures crowns while you wait. Very slick. I just received one from an Amazon purchase that deserves mention. We moved into this house more than 30 years ago and have never had a working door bell. We just ignored it. I didn't want to get one of the battery powered units because batteries require regular maintenance. The Vosteko unit we got uses no wires and no batteries. The receiver and chiming unit plugs directly into the wall socket. The transmitter and button unit attaches outdoors. Inside the transmitter is a coil and magnet assembly that produces enough electric current to transmit a signal to the receiver when the button is pushed. Works like a charm. Neat new product.
