Anti-Trump Protester Punched, Kicked At Tucson Rally
Trump’s campaign manager also appeared to rough up a protester on video.

Violence erupted at yet another Donald Trump rally Saturday when a protester was hit and kicked by a Trump supporter and Trump’s campaign manager was seen yanking the collar of a demonstrator on video.

The incidents add to the list of violent episodes that have followed Trump’s increasingly hostile and divisive campaign.



Video posted by NBC News’ Frank Thorp V and another witness shows security personnel escorting a protester out of the Tucson Convention Center, after which a black man is seen grabbing the person and unleashing a series of punches and kicks that send the protester to the ground.

Police then intervened, handcuffing the man who dealt the blows and escorting both him and the protester out of the building.

Bryan Sanders, the man who was punched, told the Arizona Daily Star he was protesting Trump’s “fascism, his racism, his lies and his woman hating.”

“I had a sign that said ‘Trump is bad for America,’ and a guy grabbed the sign as I was being escorted out of the building and sucker punched me.”

“I was also here at the Bernie Sanders rally last night, and nobody got punched,” Sanders said.

Police identified the man who assaulted the protester as Tony Pettway, 32. He is to be charged with assault with injury, a Class 1 misdemeanor, Tucson Police Sgt. Kimberly Bay told HuffPost.

It is striking that one of the few Trump supporters arrested for attacking protesters in recent months was African-American. There have been far fewer arrests for assault at Trump rallies than reported incidents of violence, according to a HuffPost analysis.

Many protesters were in the stadium, including a group of people holding “Dump Trump” posters. Trump’s security staff removed many while he spoke.

I'm calling BS on this all day long and I'll explain why.

So right after the last few Trump rallies all the media has been focusing on all of these violent outburst's at Trump's rallies, and the heat has really been dialed up on Donald to calm his supporters down.

All of that attention was focused on "white" Trump supporters beating up "mostly" people of "color" with one or two whites here & there. But the focus & the spin was that this was mostly white on "brown" (if you will) violence.

All of a sudden.................out of thin f*cking air comes this "black guy"...................punching & kicking two protesters as their being led out of the hall via cops "while the cops already have the situation under control".

And the guy does it "right in front of the cops".

The cops stop him "calmly" put handcuffs on him and walk him out.............."calmly"

Just last week when the black kid was walking out, and got punched by the old man, all the cops pounced all over that guy like he hit somebody.

They had his @$$ on the ground with his hands behind his back roughing him up before they let him up, and then they dragged his @$$ outa there like he was a convict.

I'm sorry, I was born at night but not last night, and I know like I know my name that this nonsense was staged, and that homeboy got paid lovely for his services.

It was staged to show the world that it's not only passionate whites that beat people up at these events but it's also passionate people of color as well, in an attempt to shift the focus off of race.

It takes all of this KKK, white vs. black "heat" off of Donald, and all the talk about his rallies being a breading ground for contempt & blatant racism because now we have an instance where a "black" person is shown to be just as supposedly outraged by these out of control protesters. (BS, BS, BS, BS)

Donald is from NY, and he knew damn well how to fix this, and he played it beautifully.

I'm sure most of you will write back telling me I'm wrong or that there's no conspiracy theory here but growing up between NY & NJ gives one a certain perspective most don't learn or see, and I know bull chit when I see it.

This was staged, and I'm so confident of that fact that I guarantee you months or years from now the real story will surface.

No, I absolutely do not believe any black person on the planet would get that angry (for real) to do something like that to some idiot protestor as their walking out of a Donald Trump rally. (before you ask)

And I've already seen someone posit a similar theory, that the attack by the pro Trump protester was staged.

I suspect that this will be the angle the left takes on this attack, so I expect a lot of investigation into Tony Pettway. And not in a few years. I bet several news and lefty organizations are looking into him right now, so I suspect if you are right, and Pettway was hired somehow to give a protester a beat down, he will be outed in a couple of days.

I imagine it would be impossible for you to think a black man might, just might be angered by seeing a protester wearing a Klan hood. What's up with that by the way? Why are you guys dressing as Klansman?

Anyway although I don't think it was a staged event, I'm open to the possibility, so we'll see soon.

I watched the video and here's what I came away with.................

Either this young man happened to be at a Trump event that had no drama (which some are drama free) or he was willing to be so neutral & fair about it that "subconsciously" he ignored some of the more visceral things that we all know to be true of Trump rallies, or yes, he's just another paid actor performing a service.

I'm sorry but I've seen too many clippings, television interviews, cable show reporters covering these events, YouTube videos, and many other forms of media coverage from almost all of these events to completely buy everything he's saying.

At the end of the day, even if I were to take the young man at his word 100% in the video you provided, there's no way I'm believing that the original story I posted is authentic & genuine.

That crap was staged, and I'll be saying it to my dying day..............

The crowd of course went nuts, and cheered like it was a WWF event. (like they always do)

The cops "calmly" stopped the young man, and "calmly" escorted him out of the event. (yeah I'm stupid)

The cameras (that of course are always at these events) "conveniently" caught everything for all the world to see. (how nice for Donald)

I'm really pleased that this African American police officer showed some initiative and decided to attend Trump's rally for the sake of American public and the objective reporting. The hard fact is that those people who are supported by liberals and leftists acted like animals. No class, vulgar low lives who showed zero respect for people and their families. Here is the latest on Tony Pettway, the man arrested for assault at the Trump rally for punching one of the protesters, and, according to the OP, is most likely a plant. Turns out he's active duty Air Force.
