Antifa Twitter accounts are being suspended and some are calling for revenge

Supposedly it was where left wing newspeople got win of trends and developments before Musk bought it. I looked at it for about two seconds a few years ago, saw that you had to be part of the “in crowd” to get anywhere on it and turned the page.

No, but they have physically attracted reporters and others with whom they disagree. The movement is real, and is made up of cowards and bullies who don’t have the courage to show their faces. At least the Nazis were out in the open when they beat up their opponents in the 1930s. ANTFA is an ironic name because they are a fascist movement.

Not only is this one big don't care, but I wouldn't even trust the source of this. As you said, there may certainly be some sour Antifa posters on Twitter, but few and far between care.

If you don’t like the comparison, fill in the blank with any other extreme group, be it the right wing militia groups or the New Black Panther Party. Standing outside polling places with automatic weapons to intimidate voters is not cool. Neither is running around in the woods playing soldier while threatening people with violence.

 

I knew he would have to moderate, or trolls and porn-pushers would overrun the place. It happened with one of the fringe RW forums which they advertised as "non-moderated". Trolls, Islamo-terrorists and porn folks spammed the place to death, and they had to add mods. Every forum needs moderation, and yes, Alex Jones WAS a troll, who deserved banishment.

 

I am not here to defend Trump. I wish that he would get out of the 2024 primaries. As I did 2016, I will not vote for him in the primary.

 

Musk is shaping up to be yet another celebrity plutocrat who somehow thinks he can run a Top Secret Cabal on television. I think he just wants to **** Billie Eilish and will evaporate like snow in summer once Twitter goes broke

 

Suppose you had no problem where free speech was trampled on by Twitter in the past? We'll see how bad it was when we find out about those algorithms.

Like I said, I don't pay attention much to Twitter, unless someone here posts a link to Twitter.
The way I look at it, it's no different than this forum, where they set the rules and it's up to me if I want to follow them. We don't have free speech here, and Twitter has it's rules. I don't care really what Musk does with Twitter. I understand why people who run forums might want to control or ban someone.
I was only pointing out the hypocrisy of the reasoning. Before Musk, it was a "liberal run and owned to control conservatives and block their free speech", now it's awesome that they ban groups of people because the groups are not conservative.
Wouldn't the free speech argument apply to libs also? Or is it reserved only for "real" Americans?
By the way, I don't consider Antifa to be Democrats or Republicans. I don't know how they vote as a group, but the few people of that seeming mindset I've known don't like either party, pretty much equally.

There. Is. No. Such. Organization. "Antifa" is not organized or recognized as an organization. They don't have meetings, or leaders, or members who pay dues. "Antifa" is simply a name that the right heard some leftwing nut bag call himself (as in "anti-fascist), and have been using it for years in order to scare their base. It seems to works quite well.

I think he has some other motivation, but bottom line: it's his company and he can do whatever he likes.
