I think what got him elected was his stance on illegal immigration, his stance on bringing jobs, manufacturing back, and his stance on ending nation building and new wars and rebuilding american infastructure. increase border security, deploy more technology, expand patrols and reaction forces, no problem. Hell even build some more wall if appropriate. Build a big beautiful wall along the border and have mexico pay for it? Not so much.

 

What difference does it make how long the Berlin wall was? The point is the wall went up and the east was locked inside of it.
And only the Palestinians that the Israelis want to come in are let in. The more you chase your own tail the more you produce failure.

I wasn't a fan of Trump's wall in the primaries, or Trump, but it is really pointless to pretend a wall would not be a huge deterrent.

Would it stop everyone? No. Would it stop a great deal of people? Undoubtedly yes.

 

Which is why dems yielded and accepted 1.5 billion in development funds. He insists on the whole $20B enchilada up front from the taxpayers.

Those successful walls you speak of also had live fire guards who made sure approaching the wall was impossible. Don't think you're going to have that with Trump's Folly, and if so, the first time a little 13 year little Mexican girl gets killed crossing the wall, that's the end of the wall.
