Applications for student loan forgiveness no longer accepted

I hope this program never sees the light of day. Such a select few gets free debt relief. Money spending at this level of cost should never originate outside of the house (where they control the purse). This is the peoples money not theirs! F everyone who applied to rob from us to begin with.

Well DUH, but there is no clause in the loan that prevents payment of any principle in fact a good idea during the summer break get a job and pay back some of what you borrowed and lower the outstanding principle amount. And that applies to the parents. Seems like prudent financial planning and management.

And do you REALLY think I don't know some students have living expenses? REALLY.

 

Didn't see a thread posted, but just pointing out for those affected that he has extended the student loan pause through June 30 with payments resuming 60 days after that if the SCOTUS doesn't act by then on his forgiveness plan or 60 days after the SCOTUS does rule on his forgiveness plan, whichever happens first.

This will also be good for people still waiting for their one-time IDR payment count revisions to post to their account by July (allegedly) that were supposed to post this fall but was delayed.

I already paid for my kids college and they haven’t picked a school yet. Makes me a ducking MORON for being responsible. I also paid for my college. The ONLY ones having anything taken away are those of us who actually PAID OUR DEBTS. Our money is being stolen and given to others.

Not true. Nothing was taken away. You have to have it or own it first. They aren’t entitled to taxpayer relief for loans they took out.
