I've already posted this. I take it that you only get your information from CNN. Even CNBC reported this poor job's report. Have no clue why you are posting false and old news. Here is it again. Click on it, read it so you won't look ignorant when posting about this. Just trying to help.

    https://www.cnbc.com/2021/05/07/jobs-report-april-2021.html

The employment expectation by the administration was far under the 1 million prediction of new jobs. Only 266,000 job increases happened. So, what does Joey have to say about it? Everything is fine. No reason to panic. Instead, let's pass another big bill to keep people in unemployment. What's going on here!

Is it your opinion that a single months job report is reason to panic?
If next month we hit a million jobs will you be on here praising Biden?

Is it your opinion to ignore this severe job's report is appropriate and bloviate old and unimportant news from leftwing fools like CNN?
Yes! 75% less employment that was expected is very significant. This cannot be ignored. What should be the conversation is why this happened. But, Joey Biden bloviates that it was good news that fewer people are being hired than needed to keep the economy going strong. The fact is, the government is paying people who aren't working more than what they could earn going back to work. Yet, Joey ignores this fact. And, apparently you are too?

I think making an issue out of a single months jobs report be it good or bad shows a person’s ignorance of the economy and economics in general.

I agree with you the extra UE needs to go away, have said so a dozen times the last few days.

So, I will ask you again. If next month a million new jobs are created will you start a thread praising Biden?

First, you are the one stating that these entities are giving slave labor wages. So I assume you pay your staff $15+ an hour, guarantee 40 hour work weeks and provide benefits and paid leave to those employees? If so, good for you, You must have a pretty good widget to sell your consumers as most small businesses run on an extremely tiny margin and do not have the same luxary. The average small business run as low as a 2% margin to as high as a 17% (small mining firms). The GREAT majority of small business truly hover in the 2%-6% margin and competition is vicious.

I've been self employed since I was 19 (started my own catering company in Denver) and going on 35 years now of owning my own companies. Even today with me working for a major institution, I own 2 property management companies and I manage the finances for the institution I work for.

Second, what orifice did you pull that number from as I'm fairly sure that is a made up number. However, if you can provide substance then maybe, but again, I think it's bogus.

Lastly, are you seriously comparing 2021 to that of the 1860's?!

Won't happen until the UE goes away and there will be a couple of months of poor unemployment news. Therefore, a single months job report is bad news.

I believe though since the federal and many state governments were the cause of the unemployment problems, they need to protect those who were working but are too old now to find a job that they can do. Those in their 60's than need to continue to work are what I'm talking about. They still need the UE. But, everyone else, go find work.

Also, since Joey Biden thinks $15/hr should be minimum wage, how about making the baseline income of Social Security $15/hr or $2,400/mo? Democrats say they are all for Social Security but never put their money where their mouths (butts) are.

You have to understand the left believes that today's America is because of 1619 to 1860 and beyond. So, of course they throw ancient time periods in with what's happening today. That way they can throw in racism to every debate. It's a mental sickness the left has called Trump Derangement Syndrome and can't let go of it.

Your refusal to answer a simple question lead to be conclude you are just one more partisan drone with nothing to add other than to attack the other party at all cost.

You folks are a dime a dozen on here

Just the party you support. Duly noted.

And apparently you missed this part; Ocasio-Cortez knocked the plan ahead of Biden's speech as well, saying in a Tuesday tweet that the proposal "is not nearly enough."

Nope, no support for the Dems or the Repubs.

And the jobs report came out Friday, so clearly she was not talking about it on Tuesday

it does not effect anything, they are always up and down.

Do you have any threads from you freaking out in Jan 2018 when only 81,000 jobs were created or Feb of 19 when we lost 50,000 jobs?

If not, then your post are just meaningless partisan drivel.

I do cheer you if were the case, however if one was to merely look at your post history, I assure you that they'd surmise a fairly staunch left leaning. That being said, I do support anyone who chooses not to align with the (D) & (R). Granted, one could probably do the same with my post and assume I'm republican to which I'm not.

Ah, but gives AOC fodder for her stance on increase spending that just took place last month.[/QUOTE]

It was Pres Biden's comment when the report came out, I'm sure you can find it.

Bad job numbers. I told you the 1619 project was crap! It's all Obama's fault.

Don't ask me why I posted that, and I won't ask you how you go from a jobs report to 1619.

    In other news:

In the race to attract service workers, Chipotle says it will pay a higher minimum wage (msn.com)

It's quite elementary, Mr. Cougarbear. "What's going on here" is obvious. Biden promised higher wages for workers. He didn't limit himself to the minimum wage strategy. Wages are going up, as promised. No unions, no minimum wage hike needed. Quite a stable genius, that Biden is.

    That's what's going on here.
