Really? https://www.motherjones.com/politics/2012/12/mass-shootings-mother-jones-full-data/ Most of this mass murders are from handguns. Revolvers can't take near the abuse that a Glock can, and M1911s are notoriously finicky. https://www.personaldefenseworld.com/2017/09/glock-17-pistol-torture-test/ Shoot your .357 10,000 rounds without cleaning it.
And I had an F.F.L. gunshop / range, I have repaired and owned and sold many 1911 type pistols as well as Smith & Wesson Revolvers © models 10, 12, 15, 19, 29, 36, etc....
18 year olds drinking doesn't put others lives at risk, they should have the same rights as any other adult we have laws for public intox and driving while intoxicated if an adult breaks those laws
Sober Young folks have poor impulse control and anger issues, alcohol has potential to make it much worse.
LOL studies had shown that fully functioning adult brains does not occur until the 24 or so. An anyone who been around 18 years old know damn well that they are not mature adults at that age. So no they should not be given control of weapons that can killed dozens of people at that age.
Limits such as ownership of high power firearms that had already shown the ability to killed large numbers of people would be a damn good idea.
Yes, what the hell could go wrong with fulling up all the schools with both teachers and cops that are able to apply deadly force with special note of applying such force to black students. More guns are always the best solution not limits on the guns or the magazines or the number of below 21 years old with access to firearms.
Not quite. Once I did an experiment where I shot competition with a Glock for a number of months while performing no maintenance on it. To be fair, it made it a surprising distance, gobbling up nearly 3 thousand rounds without a hiccup. But then I was shooting a match I was actually doing really well in, and on the last stage, with me running neck and neck with the guy who would ultimately win the match, my pistol finally suffered a failure to feed just as I was engaging the second-to-last target. I cleared it quickly and finished the stage, but that one bobble dropped me from competing for first down to fourth. In the end, I'd put 3003 rounds through the pistol before it failed, but showed that even Glocks do need at least SOME maintenance to be 100% reliable.
Man, do I get sick of ignorant people trying to use the race card like a club. Sorry, but there's that whole "Constitutional rights" thing to consider. Also the fact that none of what you propose above would do a f'ing thing to make anybody any safer; exactly the opposite in fact.
Agreed, but there's nothing to prevent maintenance on firearms stored in lock boxes in schools, either.
If you actually cared about protecting kids in schools, you'd suggest something effective, practical and constitutional. Your repeated failure to to so only indicates you don't really care.
And why the reference to the Actor John Wayne ? was he a convicted Felon in real life ? His movies were fictional not biographical.
Try telling that to the families of all the unarmed blacks gun down by the police starting with a 12 years old playing in a public park while a white mass murderer was tackled by the police and arrested. Hell the last black man was shot in his grandmother back yard have 20 bullet holes and a cell phone in his hands not a gun.
We will try it and we will see. Strange is it not that the pro gun people who believe in gun rights at any cost do not care about the rights of innocent children of all ages not to be gun down in their schools.
We have a sitting president with less maturity than the average 18 year old, better include him as well.
Oh, look at your fallacious appeal to emotion. If you actually cared about protecting kids in schools, you'd suggest something effective, practical and constitutional. Your repeated failure to to so only indicates you don't really care.
Getting shot multiple times wearing a bullet proof vest is still going to put you down. It's going to be like having the Hulk punch you in the solar plexus.
