I keep looking at the fact that the 3 West Coast States alone would be the 6th or 5th largest economy in the world. We alone would be a great nation. And I would love to be free of the burden of our rights being impeded by religious fanatics and white supremacists. We have the wealth and more than the lion's share of the intellectuals and Universities. We have a large majority of the defense industry and hi tech. We are the largest producers of many agricultural products and come in a close 2nd on most of the rest. We have a wealth of natural resources.

In short, we don't need the rest of the country. And we would be better off without them.

Peace inevitably brings internal strife and division within a society, so that diversity of one kind or another is guaranteed.
