Former Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger (R-CA) put out a video that is simply awesome.
He says the things that a real president, one with class and grace and intelligence, would say.

It's really kind of hard to argue with what Aaaaahnold says unless of course, you are a nazi.

I really hope that President Trump watches this video and learns something from it. Because Schwarzenegger is right on this.

Shameful that the BLOTUS supports racist white supremacists that embrace nazism.

Little wonder that corporate CEO's have resigned from his councils in protest. No right minded American wants to be associated with the odious and incompetent Racist-in-Chief!

The unintended consequence of his failure to condemn the extremist alt right is going to cost him and the GOP dearly when they try to tackle tax reform. There will be no one "on board" to provide advice from corporate America and these same CEO's probably won't have any problem being vocally critical of whatever the GOP want to impose on We the People.

Too bad there isn't a cure for terminal Foot-In-Mouth disease because the BLOTUS is obviously a carrier.

I have also come to the conclusion that I am not going to accept the BLOTUS as "my president". He does not represent me or the America that I hold dear and pledge allegiance to. Instead he represents everything that is abhorrent and vile and un-American IMO. As far as I am concerned the office of the presidency is vacant and has been usurped by a wannabe despot who belongs behind bars. Hopefully the SC's investigation will go a long way towards making that happen and a competent president can be appointed to complete this term.

 

I am in full agreement with everything except the last paragraph. Unlike many extreme Right-wingers who never accepted the Obama presidency, for good or for bad, President Trump is indeed our 45th President. I don't question his legitimacy at all, since he was voted into office. I do, however, question his competence and his sanity, because no sane President would have handled the last 7 months the was he has. And in the last 3 weeks, it has gotten considerably worse.

For Right-wingers who would like to attack this position, or more specifically, be inclined to attack me for taking this position, if you check my posting history here in PF, you will see that for a number of months, I was very quiet. I wanted to give Trump a chance and see how things would shape up.

So, I want him out of office and the legal way to to that is to vote him out in 2020. There is also impeachment as a possibility, but it is neither likely nor is is practical. And then there is the 25th amendment, §4, but that would really put the Republic in uncharted waters.

I am working on a very long thread about what has happened so far, to put the timeline into perspective.

One thing from my viewpoint is absolutely for certain: a Twitter-Presidency is not good for the Republic. It's really hard to enact policy 147 characters at a time and more importantly, it's too easy to be misunderstood, even when one maybe has a completely different intent.

Arnold should understand Nazism since he is from the German province of Austria and the Nazis expanded into Austria after they took over the home country of Germany proper. There were Austrian Germans who could and did become and behave as vicious as Nazi from Germany proper or maybe even more so. There are even some rumors that he had functioning Nazis in his own family. I will leave that as a rumor since I have not seen the details about Arnold 's German past in a long time. Yes I said German past because Austrians are German lite in language and culture but still German.

Most don't know, but the plebiscite ("Volksabstimmung") for the annexation of Austria into what was then called "Großdeutschland", called "Der Anschluss", was passed with 99.08% for annexation. Before the election, about 8% of the electorate was shut out of the election (Jews, handicapped people, people of mixed races and political enemies of Hitler). The plebiscite was neither free nor a secret ballot. There was more than 99% voter-turnout, because it was mandatory. It was made very clear that a vote against the annexation would mean between financial ruin, jail-time or in some cases, execution.

That being said, when the Nazis crossed over the border around the 10th of March 1938, they were greeted with cheering crowds most everywhere. Some were staged, but some were spontaneous.

So, being born in 1947 in a country that was declared neutral between Nato and the East Block, this means that Austrians were never really forced to confront their terrible history like the Germans had to and for this reason, a great deal of nazi resonance was left in Österreich (Austria) for a long, long time. When Arnold was going to High School, there was lots and lots of nazi code-language still going on.

I saw a side-by-side video comparing Obama denouncing racism and Trump's comments. They were almost the same.

Arnold was born after WWII ended. He has no Nazi Past, he has an Austrian past. Austrians are not Germans, and most Germans I know will be quick to tell you so. (My mother is German, and my cousin is German)

 

As much as I would like to hope that this clown would resign I do not see that happening. Impeachment is such a unachievable goal because I do not believe that there is anything illegal enough that POS did to swing enough Republicans to vote for impeachment. Your idea to defeat him in 2020 would be the best chance and it's face it the POS 's ego would be best crunched by a defeat by the people. I would love to hear him whine that the media lied about him or that millions of illegals poured in from Mexico and they voted in the GOP primary to eliminate him.
