Ask someone who is Transgender anything!

I think it's because they simply have few romantic and dating options. So they want to demand that everyone be turned on by them.

 

I saw a video of him (her? xir?) being interviewed. He seemed remarkably frank about regarding his transgender identity as more of a fetish. He felt like a girl but didn't actually think he was one.

Well I was just guessing. I honestly don't know and it does seem petty, but I don't know any other group that has a "date me or you're a bigot" demand like this.

 

They aren't a group. People don't group together based on whether or not they are transgender. They're all individuals and they all have their own mind.

I don't think that it's that straightforward. There are trans people and people who are trans that push this narrative that if you base what a man and a woman is on genetics or genitalia or role in the reproductive system that you're a bigot.

I think people understand that this is a detriment to trans people. It hurts them. But you do have self elected self-aggrandizing bigoted little f**** making videos on the internet and writing columns about how it's bigotry to have a dating preference.

Some people believe this because broken clocks can be right twice a day. Or it's a person who is actually trans and isn't ashamed two say it loud and proud so these people become pied Pipers as it were.

I used to be an angry at the world gay guy. But i grew out of that. Talking to people on line helped

Yes physical attraction is rather shallow but just having a pretty face is not enough. Sometimes people will Overlook physical flaws for the personality traits they want.

Whatever a persons so called "Dating" preference, or turn ons are, it is all very selective and you can't expect otherwise and make them like "you" if you are attracted to them and the feeling is not mutual.

I recently dated someone I really liked, however, they still lived with their family and had to move to another State.

Yeah that is rough. I would say that I look for a specific type of quality but experience has shown me that if I find a good amount of the qualities I'm looking for there's some I can overlook if they're missing.

I have to disagree with it being bigotry. While I sympathize with you, it is not bigotry for someone to not want to date someone of the same sex. You may feel that you are a woman, and always have been, but you are biologically male. So if I as a male do not want to date another male, that is not bigotry.

A right doesn't need to be explicitly listed in the constitution to be a right. For example the right to marriage isn't in the constitution, It was ruled to be a right by the Supreme Court, along with interstate and intrastate travel, and various others.

 

It's not uncommon for people experiencing delusions, to assume everyone else 'sees' the same thing they do. Some have sufficient insight to understand it's theirs alone, but many don't.
