So the answer is "don't stop and hold anyone, just let them all in?"

Nope, not gonna happen, the American people are sick and tired of this illegal immigration problem and how horrendously bad it has gotten.

They made the treck from a thousand or so miles south, they can wait a bit longer while we figure out how to deal with them.

I sure hope Progressives/Leftists start thinking about actual Americans, instead of people they hope eventually become Americans.

These people are more than welcome to go through the system, but there has to be an actual system. Your idea of just letting them do what they want, ain't cuttin it.

It’s about time........this whole ‘asylum seekers’ is a recent thing made up by the liberal leftist NGOs simply to get more illegals into the country. They used to be illegal aliens avoiding the Border Patrol........now the are coached ‘asylum seekers’ showing up and presenting themselves to the Border Patrol reading off a thee sentence piece of paper provided by the NGOs. “I fear for my life if I am forced to return to Honduras. The drug cartels are mean. They will hurt me/kill me if I don’t join them”. It’s really quite absurd that a country is allowing itself to be invaded under such silly/false pretenses.........

There is an entire central and southern continent for them to seek asylum in. Why travel 1000 miles to come here? Oh thats right. We give them free healthcare, education, a bus trip and eventually citizenship...for breathing. And they'll get even more money if they show up pregnant and pop that baby out at the right time.

Prior to this statement an illegal, sorry, asylum seeker would enter the US by whatever means, present themselves to a government official (border patrol) and claim asylum. The first step is to find out if they have a credible fear of returning home, not that they can't find a job or they are looking for free health care. If they met the criteria they would normally be released on bond, a promise to appear at the asylum hearing. Naturally some didn't bother but disappeared into the US. Now, they are not given bond and are not released so preventing them disappearing.
Where will we keep them?, not sure, disused military barracks or Guantanamo Bay maybe.
The obvious answer is to review and streamline the whole asylum process and process the applications within days not years.

 

Fear of gangs or other criminals isn't a justifiable excuse for asylum according to US law or even the village idiots at the UN. We need only enforce our laws to the letter and this invasion will end. I think housing them at Gitmo is the best idea, and anyone who is rejected for asylum should be released to Cuba...

 

I would suggest San Francisco. I think Oracle Park would be large enough.

Says who? I could care less about illegal immigration. It's not a problem at all as I see it. They are less likely to commit crimes than Americans and more likely to work hard than Americans. The only problem is where they were born. I prefer merit over simply praising someone because of where they were born. If Trump wants to bus them to sanctuary cities I say go for it. It will backfire horribly but that never stops him any other time.

 

A newborn has to be born you realize...if it's still in the womb, it ain't a new born. So much for becoming a doctor!

As for your concern about Americans murdered by illegals, we have a way to deter and punish that. First of all, we do make it illegal for people to be here without proper documentation. Secondly, murderers go to prison. What more should we do?

Lastly, why are you more concerned about the southern border than any other? Can you honestly tell me there aren't illegals coming over the northern border and committing crimes? Careful, it's a trap...

Regarding aborting babies, I guess you haven't been following the news on the left's latest scheme to improve women's health.

There should never be a murder by an illegal because there should never be illegals in this country.

We have more crimes committed by illegals coming in from the south. How many Canadians do we have in our prisons relative to our illegal border buddies from the south? But if we have scumbags coming in from the north then that needs to also be dealt with.
