Atheism is a Joke.

Their whole argument is a joke. The people who dont believe are a joke. Their platform is a joke. All their arguments are always proven wrong. Maybe its time you all become christians and realize your arguments are a joke. They are like a bunch of clowns in a circus.

 

I'm sure this cogent and profound argument will win you a tsunami of new believers.

 

I wonder how many atheists will respond to this thread by:

A: running in raportous injury to the mod team to get this thread deleted as flame bait (even though we Christians get threads like these all the time aimed at us).

B: actually demonstrate some of that superior morality and compassion they so often claim, and reach out with reason and compassion and guide jedi through with a reasoned attempt to explain how atheism is merely a different opinion? Maybe attempt to educate rather than reflexively lash out ... tereby proving the premise of the OP correct.

Its up to you atheists.

 

How is reporting a flamebait thread, which clearly is against the rules, "lashing out"? WHY don't YOU denounce this thread as flamebait? Oh right... Because atheists have created "mean" threads too. Why don't you just admit that you don't do what you want us to do? You claim you want a reasonable debate, and yet come in here to defend the unreasonable. That is hypocrisy in it's finest form.

When atheist posters like this one above routinely question whether Jesus is a rapist, compare Christians to slavers and murderers, stupidly, the intent is clearly flame bait, but they will defend to their death (well, maybe not that far, there is nothing in this world more valuable then their lives), the right for people to slam Christianity. Yet when someone slams atheism? Well, now the mods had better get in here and get ride of this flame bait RIGHT FRIGGIN' NOW!!!

Yes, I agree. This thread is pretty awful but its no worse than dozens of atheist threads we get here every day.

Atheism is actually very dangerous. When atheists take over the government, many people die, especially Christians.

Yes, this is true. But Christians are held to a higher standard. Even atheists hold us to a higher standard, because deep down, they know we are better people than they are.

 

I have seen a bunch of their arguments proven wrong, but that lends no credibility to alternate ideas. Your argument presents no logic that could not just as easily be applied to any other religion. Therefore, I must assume that you're withholding some part of the argument.

 

Which argument? Atheism isn't a singular entity and no one argument is used by all of us. Why are the people a joke? Atheists run a gamut of personality types, to decry all of them as a joke is simple bigotry. All of our arguments are proven wrong? Obviously I don't agree but just as obviously I won't convince you.

To some other posters: Blackrook, you have went up in my estimation. Even though you took the opportunity to take a stab at atheists, at least you were honest about this thread. Neutral, I dont know what's gotten into you. You bleat about the fact that atheists won't step into anti-religion threads to decry bad behaviour, and bleat about the victimisation complex of atheists, but the first thing you do in THIS thread is whine about victimisation and not decry Miller's flamebaiting.

What about the "Was Jesus a rapist?" thread, where the OP admitted in the first post that the thread was pure BS, and was just meant to "get back" at Christians who'd called Muhammed a rapist. That thread was never deleted as flamebait even when the OP outright admitted it was.

 

Seems the other Christians on the forum disagree with your assesment SF. Could just be that atheists view anything that disagrees with their faith as ... a personal insult. That my freind, especially in a debate forum, is a personal problem.

In this particular case, as I have done before with you personally, I will again note that you sit on the sidelines when these types of threads are started and directed at Christians, I will remind you that the overwhelming majority of your fellow atheists voted pointedly to allow these types of threads on this forum, and now ... those same atheists are screaming:
