In the early 2000s, Sinema was a champion for immigrant rights - it was what she campaigned on. And if you listen to the very calm young woman in the video, she explains how she feels abandoned by Sinema.

I don't know that I can support people following her into the bathroom, but she wasn't chased or boxed in. She was being held to account by the people to whom she made promises.

Yeah this looks a lot more "insurrectionie" than anything that happened January 6th.

Then I will re-phrase my reply. What happened on January 6th, would qualify as "political terrorism;" following one's Senator into a bathroom, while trying to voice one's opinion, does not. That is, to any sane person, who understands the meaning of the term that you are using.

 

Actually that's not a strawman, it's a whataboutism to a degree. To be honest calling that political terrorism puts the Jan 6th seditious conspiracy into deep space on the comparison chart.

 

I do.have a degree of honor. I find chasing ANYONE in a restroom to harass them with ANY ideology is abhorring! So speaking out of both sides of the mouth is commonplace for American Marxists who will do anything for their agenda but then try to feign a sense of decency to appeal to the masses. Giving citizenship rights to children of illegal invaders is like allowing children of bank robbers to keep the $$. You think it's o.k. because the "elitist" politicians allowed them in. I would add I was opposed to what happened on Jan. 6th but was in equal opposition to the American Marxist burning, killing, and looting that summer that made the Capitol thing small potatoes by comparison!

 

While I can see why you might call it whataboutism, I think of it more as a reality check, a calibration of proportionality. Sort of like, if you can remember way back to the days of, "Crocodile Dundee," the scene in which a New York City youth pulls a switchblade on Dundee & the female journalist, who says, "...he's got a knife." Then Hogan's character says, "Nah, that's not a knife," and pulling out a rather substantial buck knife, continues, "Now this is a knife."

I'd be curious as to how you would know my views on, "Dreamers," whom, BTW, I did not take to be the main topic of this thread. But even if I do agree that, under certain conditions, they should be given citizenship (and I would just not want that to, then, make it easier for the rest of their family to become citizens), your assumption that the reason for this is that, "it suits (my) agenda," and not simply that it is due to pragmatism, or my own sense of decency, is wholely unwarranted, and utterly mistaken.

When you speak up in defense of "Dreamers" invading a restroom, I think I've made a fair assumption. You still find it more pleasing to pretend you straddle the fence so as not to offend anyone. That has been going on for far to many years. Juan McCain did that from the beginning. Get with the times. Be bold. Jump in with AOC and her bunch. Incremental globalism does not sit right with many Americans.
