These foolish liberals, like Obama, keep doing the same thing under the same foolish belief - Govt spending will solve all our problems and it is not true. If it were, the Soviet Union, Cuba and NKorea would be shining examples of perfect economies. They are not. History is smarter than Obama.

Let's see the Democrats took over having to "clean up" 52 months of full employment, 3 years of declining deficits down to $161 billion, record revenue growth and solid GDP growth.

So how'd they do cleaning up?

Last year of Republican control the deficit was $161 billion, the Democrats increased it TEN FOLD and want more.

The cost of not fighting the wars would have been far higher and Bush was the one who tried to get SS reform going, did you support that?

BS obama had skyrocketing unemployment, falling markets the worst recession weak GDP growth for the last decade , a couple of very expensive wars , ...

He inherited a real mess from bush.

Still busy , that big a mess you dont clean up in a couple of years unfortunatly.

Yeah living of credit in the housing bubble did that.

Ah so you would know the cost of not invading iraq?

Well do explain how much that would have costed.

    Same for afghanistan.

Total cost is around 3 trillion you know.

As President Obama prepares to deliver a major speech on jobs and growth tonight, yet another poll shows him with the lowest approval ratings of his presidency - particularly among Hispanics and whites.

According to the poll, conducted by Gallup throughout August, just 41 percent of adult voters approve of Mr. Obama's job performance as president - down from 44 percent in July. Those ratings reflect term-lows among Hispanic and white voters, with 48 percent approval from Hispanics and 33 percent approval among whites. Among black voters Mr. Obama has 84 percent support, tying his lowest rating to date.

Mr. Obama has characteristically scored strong ratings among the Hispanic community; in the 2008 presidential election, he earned 67 percent of the Latino vote to GOP nominee John McCain's 31 percent, according to exit polls. And a 2009 Gallup poll shows the president with 82 percent approval in the Hispanic community.

He just cant win without the white vote, and with the Hispanic vote dropping off like fleas from a dead dog I would say this guy is toast. Just like his speech, look for him to spend in any way he can.
A dying off Liberal politician is a most dangerous thing.....

The disconnect is astounding....Somebody should remind him he was not elected because of his ideas....*

What the hell is this guy thinking? He expects us to gamble that kind of money on a proven failure? What a dimwit!!
If he was sincere about helping the ''ENTIRE'' country then he would realize his ideas have failed and try another approach. Problem is,, he sees his Presidency is over, he will not win back anybody in the time he has left, so all he is doing is hoping to ''Spread the Wealth'' and make as many of his followers as happy as possible.

This man has a one track mind, and it's just impossible for him to go against his ideology, he is much more of a Carter than a Clinton...and that's too bad for EVERYBODY! The country took a huge gamble with him, and Lost...
Seems it takes a lot more than a slogan.....

I cant believe his ego prompted the Calling in of Congress for what was nothing more than a campaign speech. Again this man embarrasses our country and insults the office of President.

The problem is that Obama has already blown a trillion in stimulus, much of it on stupid stuff that was not worth a penny to the average taxpayer, and now he want's half a trillion more for desert?

Could be, but according to his numbers people have caught on. The very fact he called in Congress for this absurd speech is more than proof. In fact every time he gives a speech his numbers and the market takes a dive, I suspect this will be no different.
After listening to that thing most people I know said......''THAT'S IT???'' and that's even many of his followers.

It was stunning after all we been through, after all has been said, his idea is...''TAX THE RICH!!???''

Personally I think on vacation he must have gotten hit with somebodies Hook, he should wear a Helmet when golfing too....

    You are correct, Professor Peabody.

Obama wants us to believe he is a great administrator by unveiling this stimulus plan.

What he did not tell us is that he intends to spend $447 B to create 1.9 million new jobs.

If this is true, the jobs Obama will now create will cost the U.S. tax payers $235,000 for each new job that is added to the workforce.

Somehow, Obama's great plan for reviving our economy does not seem so great after all!

Tax the rich haha. Perhaps before they try and make new taxes for rich people, they should squeeze the ones that currently owe them money.

Maybe send a few guys to knock on buffets door to collect that 1billion in back taxes....

You don't groom presidents, that's something you do for regents and royalty. Presidents are supposed to be elected because they are worthy, we clearly see Obama is not. Although that does clear up some questions as to how or why he ever got to office in the first place.

LOL,,,,bookworms do not automatically make great problem solvers, you are aware of that,,,right? The man just gave a speech practically repeating everything he has said before, and expects the Repubs to buy it?

It's everything he has said and done before that has led us to this. You, me, and every breathing intelligent person out there knows the Republicans wont spend more, yet he comes up with the same old thing?, and needs this special moment to announce it? Sorry, but common sense does not automatically come with a prestigious Harvard degree, or don't you know that?

A law degree won't buy you economic expertise, either...
