    It would appear I have not understood your position from the onset, because I misunderstood your phraseology.

    I took "The supposed 'threat to families' by the Obama administration:" to be the thing said by the administration which followed... "In exclusive communications obtained by CNN, one insider writes, 'You don’t jeopardize yourself, you jeopardize your family as well.'” as in... they wrote that this was what someone in the administration said.

    I did not have the context correct. I understand now.

    Which is why revealing the name of an agent involved in covert activities is a Federal crime.
