Have you learned a language fast? If so, how did you do it. Is there a web page you used? What course did you use if any?
If you want to learn a language quickly then you have to undergo immersion in that language. There is good research which compared two groups of language learners who studied using different methods. One group learned in a traditional classroom and language laboratory the other augmented classroom with a residential period in the country whose language they were learning. The latter group came out ahead. I realise this isn't always possible, it costs time and money and if you're working then you won't get language leave unless it's of benefit to your employer. For an adult to learn a second language is very difficult so get ready for a feeling of disappointment at a perceived lack of progress. The methods depend on you and your preferred form of learning. You can't avoid drill though, you need to be diligent in learning the basics. Also try to get with native speakers and listen to them speaking and try to understand them, that's the most difficult part of learning another language. In short, apart from immersion there's no fast way to learn apparently.
I would agree- immersion. I have never done it completely but I was in a foreign country on my own for several weeks- didn't speak English the entire time- by the time I left I had a working vocabulary.
