What are you babbling about now? What does Wilson have anything to do with this?

Dude, you need to take a break. It's getting embarrassing.

Well, your response came from "SALON". A retarted right never factual website. Close to The Onion.

I remember another "SALON" bit that said Obama killed children.

Maybe you should open your mind to things other than SALON and Fox News? They can make you sound stupid.

    I did some searching. Guess what I found. Nearly everyone has it in full text except for what you posted and what you posted is right here in a bias idiotic website;
    http://www.salon.com/2007/12/21/woodrow_wilson_federal_reserve/
If the text isn't enough note that you didn't only cut out the website source, you left the author.

dujac. Note that the internet is out now. FactCheck.org is out. You can't just say moronic and bias things without people wondering. Everyone in America is checking out everything Republicans are saying because they are using lies so much.

It may be hard but try to re-organize your thoughts and use facts over fiction. Use policy over bs. You will notice you are no longer a Republican, but either Libertarian or Democrat

Google "I am a most unhappy man. I have unwittingly ruined my country"... there's somewhat over 48,000 references to these two sentences and Woodrow "Progressive" Wilson....

Now, just a thought about the CPI. Through the years, "government" economists have fine-tuned these samplings to include, or exclude whatever they wish in order to more easily manipulate the net-net result. If I want to include products or commodities X, Y, and Z, then I can paint one picture. If I want to include X and Z, but exclude Y, then I can paint a different picture, etc., etc. The cost of living should always include a comprehensive sampling of all the things people typically purchase in ordinary life, all the time, in order to give a truly dynamic view of all the data, but they haven't been represented that way in many years. And, no, it's not a "Republican thing"; and neither is it a "Democrat thing".

if wilson had said, "I am a most unhappy man. I have unwittingly ruined my country."

then you should be able to show me where he wrote or said it

the fact is that it's a false quote, wilson didn't say it

but, don't take my word for it

OK, Iriemon, if what Bernanke is doing makes sense then please tell me this: where is the Federal Reserve System going to get forty billion dollars every month to buy "bonds" and all this other undesirable crap with? Why does it make sense to do this? How can it make sense to do this?

This is nothing but more "rescue" fraud intended to feed the stock market parasites and, of course, Benny's favorite "insiders", the investment bankers. Did you see what the stock market did yesterday? Up over 200 points -- and for percentage increases, nobody did better than banks and financials! This is so clearly obvious; do you really not see what they're doing?

Meanwhile, oil hit $99 bucks a barrel and will continue to rise as a direct consequence of Bernanke's latest QE folly, along with natural gas. And, oh, food prices continued their inflationary trend by going up .9% last month, and that marked the third increase in a row! House prices have increased, rents have increased, fuel costs are up and the cost of living in general has definitely increased YOY, whether the government's cooked-books show it or not.

I can already hear the retort -- "It's such a small amount it doesn't matter!" But the inflationary trend has already started, and it is picking up speed -- WHOLESALE PRICES JUMPED 1.7% IN AUGUST FROM JULY! The significance of that statistic might be lost on some poor cluck who never walked inside a real college classroom, but it cannot be lost on you -- and this latest Berananke Keynesian madness will only make it worse. The dollar is plummeting against other currencies, and the price of gold has shot back up to over $1,770 dollars per ounce!

Again, I ask you (and dujac, if he is interested in giving us all his economic "catechism" instead of snotty one-liners) -- where in the hell is the Federal Reserve System going to get $40 Billion Dollars a month to blow on bonds, toxic mortgages, and other "assets"? Is Benny going to pull $40 Billion Dollars a month out from under his mattress and conduct these bond-buying binges on his own? WHERE IS THE MONEY TO BUY THIS CRAP GOING TO COME FROM? Could I just get one honest answer to that question? And if the answer is that, well, really, Benny and the boys are going to BORROW it, then how is that not malfeasance?

Come on, Polly, you know (*)(*)(*)(*) good and well what the answer is. The Fed just pulls this out of their ass by printing money, even though thats not what dujac wants to call it. It's all phony-baloney money and it gets added to the national debt.

With a Republican victory in November, this man will be the de facto president of the United States, at least concerning fiscal policy.

If you don't know who he is, you should. Do a google search of the terms: "Republican tax oath"

As I stated in another post, this QE is not the most effective policy IMO for stimulating the economy, because it puts money in the hads of entities that are already sitting on trillions of dollars. However, given the political gridlock in DC, it's about the best we can do at this time.

The Fed creates the money to purchase the bonds.

That is true. A higher stock market does tend to make people feel more comfortable and more likely to spend a little more money.

You don't think the turmoil in the ME had something to do with that?

Your position is that QE3 is or will make oil prices soar, right?

Think about this. We've had QE1 and QE2 and twist constant expansion of the money supply, right? The base money supply has basically tripled, I believe.

Based on your position, oil prices should be sky high, right?

You point out that crude today is $99/bl.
On July 4, 2008, crude was at $148/bl.

So while we've had this massive expansion of money base that you and other anti-Fed types for years have been saying will give us hyperinflation, and now you are pointing to $99/bl as evidence.

That is 33% lower than it was over four years ago, before all this terrible Fed money expansion you've been (*)(*)(*)(*)(*)ing about for years.

    Think about that.

No, that wasn't my retort at all. See above.

Same place as the rest. Same answer I have given 100 times. They don't borrow it. It is created out of thin air.
