Apparently he failed to get permission from Grande Gringo Jefe Biden.
IOW, Biden and Co need to stop whitesplaining to Mexico.

We grow too much corn and use too much roundup. Mexico is right on this.

This applies to corn for human consumption, not feed grain. We sell very little corn for human consumption to Mexico. If they stopped importing GMO feed grains they would destroy their animal agriculture sector.

Any pressure applied to Mexico to change their stance is derived from trade agreements Mexico made with us. Biden nor anyone else can force Mexico to do anything they didn’t sign up for under current trade agreements.

This is much ado about nothing.

It would be great if Mexico was serious about revitalizing their ag sector. It could reduce illegal immigration and take human capital away from the Mexican drug production industry. We would all benefit in the end. We shall see.

If Biden was going to pressure Mexico about anything, it should be tackling drug cartels and human smuggling. But that helps Democrats, so they won't do that.

I don't necessarily agree with this. Governments forced between letting their people starve to death vs using GMO foods isn't much of an option. The whole "science" behind the anti-GMO movement is shaky at best.

Many governments are torn between the decision to enrich themselves, or feed their people. That's quite often a choice socialist leaders face.
